here a photo of trouser length

I really would not consider that long...
I've always subscribed to the belief that the trousers should kiss the top of the shoes.
SeYung Noh has his trousers long by half an inch if anything..

Thats just my $0.02 though, to each his own

I agree, to each his own, but I also agree with your assessment of his trouser length. If anything they might be perfect length. He has his knees slightly bent and that half inch of extra length we both see might disappear if he were to stand up in his posture.

Isn't that more of a cut issue? There is where the slit in the side comes in.

Yea, Goose's pants are too long. Not as bad looking as that shirt though. Yikes!

I'm in my 20s and I like my pants exactly like SeYung Noh's. I usually buy 32-34" waist pants with 32-34" inseams. I really only need the inseam to be 29"-30" but the extra length makes hemming them easier. I think hemming them with a v is trendier look and allows the pants to be a little longer without looking poorly fitted like Goose's.

I wear mine a little on the longer side as well (I'm in my late 20's), but definitely not long enough so they drag on the ground and get dirty.

Sloppy as in too long? I think it's weird/inappropriate to have your socks show, so I wear my pants that low.
[/quote]

Only thing I see is It looks like the bottom of the leg is just twisted some. I think the length is probably right.

I still think it is cool, modern look. When I started getting my pants tailored that way my friends all commented on how cool they looked. I think a lot of younger people like it because they are used to wearing jeans which are typically longer and not tailored pants and suits. For someone who rarely wears a suit, tailored pants can almost feel like floods.

Last I checked, companies like Nike, Under Armour and Adidas have started selling pants with the same slit cut. However, it might be because the slit allows for off the rack pants to be a tad long and still look good.

Personally, I think that pants (slacks, anyway) should be at a length that touches the top of the sole of the shoe, at the heel. Then you have them hemmed correctly so they break nicely over the shoes you are wearing them with. For golf shoes, which are usually a bit taller and thicker than dress shoes, this usually calls for a notch or a "V" to be hemmed into the bottom of the seam.

Noh's pants look perfect.

Goosen's pants are the proper length... they just aren't hemmed to break over the shoe properly.

GMAC's pants are always perfect (no surprise there).

The one you say is "downright sloppy" are actually really good. If you look closely, you will see that the seam is twisted from the side of the leg over towards the front, so the notch isn't in the correct place. They are golfers... they are active and moving around a lot, so this can happen. If he takes a couple steps, this will self correct and the notch will go back to the proper place for a nice fit.

The last photo is hard to tell. Pants are tailored when you are standing up straight... not in an athletic position. Since he is mid golf shot, his knees will be slightly bent. Though the pants look too long, they may be the proper length once he stands up straight.

They do look at tad long, but I agree he is hunched over a little. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see that they have the V hemmed and they come to roughly the same spot on his shoes as Graeme's do in the picture I posted.

The back of the trouser should touch the top of the sole of the shoe, and the front should hang with one crease above the laces. There is no other correct answer.

I just think they shouldn't be bunched up on top of the shoes. To me, the picture with black pants and black Nike shoes (kinda looks like something Kyle Stanley would wear) is perfect. I just think too many of the better dressed golfers on tour wear this style of pants to call it "sloppy".
