From what I saw they still had the standard shotgun with wind jammer sitting on the ground just beyond the tee marker. Those mics do not pick up audio from behind them so as long as they're not pointed toward the crowd it will be just golf. It also sounds like they brought the levels down overall. We shall see how it is today when presumably the yelling frat boy morons will be out in force.

When Sergio teed off on 18 today, they yelled a slang term for the female genitalia. I rewinded it twice to be sure.
I am not a Sergio fan and the yelling normally is only mildly annoying to me, but that is clearly over the line.

Yep, these fans are an embarrassment. The PGA needs to institute a zero tolerance policy for this garbage. The players shouldn't have to put up with this. Eventually this will impact the outcome of a tournament if something isn't done to curb it.

Step 1, put the tv/radio on a 30 second delay like other sports and cut it out of the broadcast. Showing ZJ confront someone is also bad play as it gives it tv time and that is one of the things these people want with the other being to influence the outcome.

How many times have you guys played a hole that runs along a roadway and had some %*¥%*^ yell or some other such term from a passing car for no reason other than to screw someone over. Also allowing call ins and after the fact video is inviting those types to get over involved in the action.

I completely understand where you are coming from. Ill be honest, I thought that a fight was close today between the Sergio incident and the one on 18. Most fans are tired of it and find it childish and its bound to come to blows eventually. The the PGA will wish they had done something because they will end up in court.

Watching the video of Nick and Zack confronting the guy, I didn't see anyone returning conversation with them. What I did see was one particular male 'fan' who never looked their way - he completely ignored that they were there. Quite a few of the other folks in the stands seemed to me to be watching this individual also.

I will say that I would not be surprised if this was indeed the 'fan' who yelled. It is exactly the kind of cowardly reaction I would expect. If you yell something like that and get called out publicly, OWN it. Either apologize or let the player know you don't like him. Man Up!

Last night I watched one where there were several young guys in a tree with air hors, the emergency type - vey loud.
They made a point of hitting the horn in the middle of backswings of people teeing off a certain hole. Ha, Ha.

Today, I was playing golf at a course where 2 consecutive holes run parallel to a main through road in the town. A jacked up truck kept driving up and down the road for several hours hitting out bursts of air horn,

At some point, there will be a lawsuit, with an attempt to hold the pga tour liable for implementing poor security and crowd management. whether it's a physical incident, costing a player money or tournament as a result, etc., there will be someone that has something happen at some point that will result in this imo at the rate we're going.

It's 100% a security issue. When it's Tiger's group, the cops are everywhere, and when something happens they are sought after and booted out. A kid threw an orange one time at the green tiger was on, on a bet of course, and it was like a sniper was trying to take out the president... people were on that kid like flies on shizit, and the kid (who was all of 12), was made an example of and escorted off by the cops ( instantly booted out of the event ).

So you are suggesting that we stop live coverage because a couple of so called professionals cant take a few home truths from the gallery?

Agree with your second point. Making rulings after call ins is a joke. If officials cant figure it out before the player signs his card, they should wear the error, not the player. What if Tiger had done that in the last round on the way to winning the tournament? They gonna take back the green jacket Monday morning?
