Thanks! I was surprised by how comfortable this version of the wedge was right away. It's called a "Raptor," and noticeable softer than the Christy on my Red Wings. Either way, Vibram wedges are freaking bulletproof.

So the Frye boots that I mentioned I bought last week came in today. Overall I like them a lot. Very happy with the purchase. I know Frye has been around forever but I haven't owned any of them and really didn't know what to expect. For the price ($125), I am extremely happy with the quality and look of them. The leather is very soft. I only had a chance to throw them on at lunch to run a quick errand was surprised by how comfortable they are out of the box. Even if I had paid full retail for them ($225), I would still feel like I was a getting a pretty high quality product for a decent price. At $125 I am ecstatic!

Sorry for the crappy iphone pic

What's everyone opinion on what are the top 5 shoes every man should own?

Here's my thoughts:[list=1]
[*]Black dress shoes - balmoral style for dressier occasions
[*]Rugged or dress boots - I'd probably go with dress boots
[*]gym shoes or maybe flip flops? Probably both
[*]Boat shoes or maybe loafers?
[*]Brown longwings

Definitely NOT boat shoes.

AE Park Ave in dark brown should be a staple for anyone working in an office setting who does not want to drop serious money on dress shoes.

Ones not golf, but the epitome of Footjoy is these probably.

I love these, and I'm pretty sure you can't get them anymore, maybe custom order.

One of my favorites, and oh so comfy, and rare 11.5 eee

The others are summer work shoes.

I've ran through 4 pairs of John Varvatos boots, for the price I kinda expected a little more wear, next pair will be Allen Edmonds I think. Dress shoes my go to is Harry Rosen, house brand up here in Canada, closest comparison I guess would be Barneys in the states.

Gotta be honest, dealing with Leffot on this Viberg order - it was the first and will definitely be the last time I order through them.

Consistently have been slow as hell to answer emails and could never give me a straight answer as to when the boots will be delivered. Has nothing to do with the boots themselves but I'll definitely be looking elsewhere in the future and would never recommend them to anyone else.

They finally got the boots on Wednesday and shocker - they decided to send them out UPS Ground. Paid Wednesday morning - shipped Thursday night. And on a boot order in that range, one - you have to ding the customer another $15 for shipping but then two - you cant even send them FedEx or at the very least *not* UPS Ground?

I got a pair of Michael Toschi Rocco Crocodile shoes as a gift that I wear almost daily to work.Upon first putting them on I knew they were much better quality than what I normally wear and much more comfortable and supportive Until recently, I knew they were expensive but I didnt know they were THAT expensive. Nice shoe.

If you take care of quality crocs or gators, they can last a lifetime.

1. Black balmorals, for funerals and special events. Captoe, no broguing. Park Avenues.

2. Brown bluchers: can be plain toe, captoe, shortwing, or longwing.

3. Buy shoe trees before you get more pairs.

The rest are up to you for style, usage, etc. The only thing you should NOT do is only have one pair for work. Rotating shoes will literally triple their lifespan or more.

1. Pre-orders take time, not that I'm excusing their lack of response
2. When you place a pre-order with them, it states pretty clearly that shipping is not free.
3. The shipping includes insurance and probably confirmation.
4. Coming from their location, UPS Ground is probably the fastest option available to get it to you without weather delays. I've repeatedly had stuff sent from NYC using UPS and had it come in 1-2 days.

Viberg is absurdly slow filling orders with US stockists because they can barely keep their main models in stock. It's quicker to wait for them to have something available directly.

I'm 10000% positive that I would never read a full length policy like that.

Either way - absolutely nothing excuses piss poor customer service.

Either way x2 - they did get here today, wife picked them up, will hopefully have them soon.

I'm really digging the ones you got. Believe me I've looked at your pics a lot (that sounds weird). You got any pics of you wearing em in jeans (sounds worse)? And did you have to size down at all? I've read both to stay same as Alden Barrie and to go down half a size.
