Terry Gannon just mentioned what I've been thinking for a half hour, that the pace is quick today, and there could be a half hour or more of filler after play ends. Final shot will be struck long before 9 PM Eastern at this rate.
I noticed that also, the PGA Tour should watch the ladies play and learn something about pace of play.

Because there are actually penalties for them playing slow.

Surprising to see a number of better players really just don't take care of themselves. Not expecting everyone to be a fitness model but there are a few that if I didn't know any better could have the last name Stadler. At least no one is quite on Davies level.

Nice play today by a number of players. Tomorrow could be interesting if someone steps up and makes a move.

Class comment there.

You are out of order.

Give me a break, are you that PC? The comment didn't single anyone - the person made an observation and a fairly accurate one at that. LOL

Well JK is only, what? 18?
Not sure if you're saying goofiness comes with the tender age??? She recently turned 20. That said, I see goofiness as just one side of her... she's also considerate, interactive, and just plan gets it when it comes to interacting with the fans. In addition, she is hugely talented and I truly believe she will make some waves in the women's game by the time she is finished. She comes from a great family...I've seen them interact and it is clear they are grounded and fun-loving people. Bottom line, one of my favorites, very easy to pull for.
We're all pulling for her and this is now out of context. I mentioned goof, which really should have been worded as fun/funny in comparison to Cristie Kerr as the person she is paired with today. This is 100% my bad. I think she's a sweetheart, laughs when she plays and has unlimited potential.

Now back to LPGA talk.
+1. Completely agree.

The LPGA can't catch a break. Golf channel throws them a bone and gives them a nice amount of tv time and of course a chubby Asian gal is going to cruise to a victory in a snooze fest. The ratings will be low and golf channel will be reconsidering the next time they think about expanding the coverage. Too bad, I really like watching the girls play.

Awsi......did you see it....KABOOM!!!!
Hedwall's wedge eagle.....birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie

And there is #1 and American pouty face barely acknowledging the cheering fans in the grandstands on 18....WTF.

The LPGA needs to send the Spanish Armada to Korea to figure out how to win consistently....then the ratings will increase.

Looks like we'll see the streak continue.....8 Asian born major winners.

^As evidenced by a thread that was hopping while Ewart and Korda were doing well, and now hasn't been responded to in an hour, during the middle of the Sunday round.
Well i think 'threads Hop" when there is something to talk about. Korda and Ewert were throwing darts and dropping bombs from everywhere. Today it's been a one woman show from the second hole. I was way more interested in this than the shell when i woke up this AM but as soon as i saw the lead moved to 7 after 1, I watched what was almost an exciting finish for the men. (exciting stuff by Laird no doubt)

I really came in to comment on M, Wie, finishes with a nice birdie but i found it funny that after what can only be described as a poor back 9 the only thing Judy Rankin could say as she walked off 18 green is that "she's a charming young lady". My how far shes fallen. There was zero "she'll turn it around" or "She'll be in contention in majors again" sentiment. Just "charming"......ouch.

In watching Ms. Wie this week it's kept going through my diminutive mind that she's crouched over more with every club in the bag. She used to create such leverage with her height and the width of her swing. Her shoulders seem a bit rounded and the swing more narrow.

You talking about the current top female, or the top male player? Very similar attitudes on course. One is beloved on here....the other derided. Go figure.

Very impressed with Jessica Korda this week. She's on pace to be the top US player and absent a few big numbers, would have been more in the Sunday mix.

Great job by the Golf Channel this week with the amount of coverage and the depth of the announcing field. I also enjoyed all of the extra effort with the glamour stuff...ITM's with the ladies, etc.

Maybe they should only allow slim, good looking, non-asian players to enter?

Would that suffice?

Definitely. I almost mentioned that each of the past two nights. She's bent over more on her short irons, that's for sure. But they seem to be cooperating, at least in the short term.

They didn't show her hit too many drivers so I wasn't able to assess.

Speaking of assess, that's a good look today for So Yeon Ryu, with the dark blue and white horizontally striped skirt. For such a cute girl she's a bit challenged in the posterior. This look helped camouflage that.

Back to Michelle, I think she 3-putted two consecutive holes for bogey late in the back nine. They weren't shown on TV but when I checked her putting numbers they really jumped over those holes.

And I think Judy Rankin added some words to her summary after Michelle finished. It wasn't merely, "charming young lady." She threw in something about loads of talent and working hard to fulfill the dream.

Ai Miyazato had 3 birdies and 10 bogeys on the weekend. Hit barely half the greens. Nobody likes to call her on it but nobody's game varies more dramatically from a regular event to a major. She might win a major but I'll have to see it before I assume it. Popgun game.

Ai doesn't have the length to compete at a major. She's got everything else, but the pressure on her long game is too great.

Don't imply that I'm racist or hate big girls. I'm still watching this tournament. But I'm also realistic and stated facts in the post you quoted. I know there's not a ton of others still watching. Get off your high horse.
