So who's tried these balls out? anyone? They're all over the LPGA - they seem to get a decent review on some of the equipment websites. Any reviews here?

This thread will help you out on all things Volvik:

When the Volvik Crystal balls first came out a few years ago, many of the gals in my club tried them. For a while a lot of us thought they went farther than any other balls we've played. They were lower compression than most major brands. After about a year though, the novelty wore off, and we rarely see many of them any more. Right now a lot of us seem to like the Bridgestone e6's.

I guess you had some excitement on Sat....until Angela faltered on Sun @ the KNC.

My wife loves the Crystal....but any ball will do for her as the trajectory from her PW is the same as her 6 iron too.....lol...yes the fad among female golfers had worn off.
Heck.....my wife also loves the Magna...she thinks they go farther....LMAO.

The e6?....ugh.....might as well put some rocks in your bag and hit them.
I know I know....you're too cool to play an e6....ProV1 or nothing for you....right.
Can you do the Saugana (sp?) Sling with a ProV1?

PS Is your name Kay Rali?

There is no such person as Kay Rali. Actually I do play the Bridgestone e6's. I think the ProV1's are overrated, especially for women golfers. I hit the e6's farther, really. And yes, I got all excited about Angela starting out so well at the Kraft Nabisco, only to be let down. That dang Inbee....when her putter is hot, I don't think there's anyone who can beat her. I'm all set (with a couple girlfriends) to attend the Solheim Cup in the Denver area in August. I'm hoping Angela will be at her best there!

The ProV1 is a superb ball...believe me.....the Penta5 and I heard the new Lethal is really great too.

Have fun at the SC.....Ole....Ole.
I like the current SC team up to #10 Gerina....If I was captain..... my 2 capt picks would have moxy and length....therefore I'd pick Kang and Sydnee.
I wanna see either Tutta or Caro destroy Kerr in singles.

My other hopeful would be Lotta choosing Belen as a capt pick for the Euros.
We gents gotta have some eye candy if the Euros are gonna be beat

Hit em straight.

I think we should be clear about which MODEL of Volvik is "all over the LPGA". IIRC, it is their most high-end design. That would be far cry from their recreation level entries.

The most popular Volvik ball is the crystal, The most popular tour ball is the S3, which is what I play and haven't turned back since.

Dito ... hoping a friend of mine who is visiting the PGA show ... can get me some orange S3's

I may have to give those a try as well. I tried the orange Vista iVs and liked the spin, but the distance was just not there compared to Srixon Zstar or Cally Chrome Soft. Love the colors because they are so much easier to see.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
