Anyone have any comparisons to the forgiveness of the Srixon z star irons?? I've hit about everything but these. Can't find them anywhere. I'm a 15 capper, but a pretty good ball striker, can I handle these??? What are Srixons most forgiving irons, sans the GIE. Those are to rich for my blood. Any info is appreciated.

There are several write ups on here about the Z-Stars. They are a wonderful set of irons that feel and play way beyond their expectations and competition. A 15 will fit perfectly into these irons, imho, and should allow you to improve significantly if you are a decent ball striker like you say. I've had a set in and out of play for almost 2 seasons, and have a brand new set in the box if you're interested.

The Z-Stars are for sale at a Close Out Outlet near my house, like Big Lots, not a golf shop. ... i have a set of them as backups, beautiful clubs.

Ive been playing i701's for the last three years and they are great sticks for mid cappers (10). I believe there is a set on ebay with DGR300 for under $300.00

I haven't hit the Zstars however ive seen them in person and they are the next set inline for me if i ever decide to change. I put some Black Golds in my irons and man they are like butter.

z stars are a very nice iron. Actually ANY Srixon iron is a very nice iron. The stars are going to be a little bit bigger but not what one finds in the GI category.

I just put a set of Srixon I-404 irons back in the bag after playing Adams Pro Black MBs since they were introduced several years ago. I put Steelfiber i95 shafts in the 404s several years ago before Kuchar and Snedeker attracted so much attention to them.

For some reason, the 404/steelfiber combo set is a better fit now...probably due to a little more forgiveness and half club longer [ 1 degree stronger than Adams]. I've owned 506s and the 404s and prefer the 404s. It is too bad that Srixon has stopped marketing their products in the US.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
