What is a good golf ball for $20?

I got my MG balls and gloves mid last week and was impressed with the quality. The ball was way better than I expected and I put it in play in a member member tourney this weekend and had a hole in 1 on the third hole. Ball felt good with plenty of spin and feel with the putter. Also the glove is a quality leather glove and for the price of 2 for 11.95 it's a steal.

I have a preference for premium balls but I don't play a ton so I am prone to losing 2-4 balls per round so I have a tough time spending $35-40dz for balls so I look for logo overruns, x-outs, practice balls. I don't care if it's last years model. I just bought 2dz Prov1x Practice calls for $19.99dz. TM Penta TP is a great balls, golfballs.com has the Penta TP5 for $19.99dz too

So some real world. high wind/wet conditions.........The Q-Star was amazing. I can't believe this ball is a two piece and only 20 bucks. You need to give it a go you will be amazed and I usually can't tell the difference between balls unless it's a low compression ball VS a range rock.

Any Bridgestone ball is great for the price. You can go to their website and get fitted by clicking on the ball selection guide.

I play the E6 and really can see a difference in my game. They aren't as responsive around the greens as a ProV, but they definitely help keep the ball in the fairway.

I've been trying out the new Gamer golf ball because in the past I liked the gamer v2. It goes long and holds well and my last few rounds with it were 76 and 74 and I feel I can only get better with it as I get used to it. Good ball for the price to give a try!!!! I normally use the prov1 but this ball has been interesting!!

As another poster stated rockbottomgolf has great ball prices and usually lump some together in 3 dozen packages. Snake Eyes Tour is a very good ball, around 3 dozen for $35. Three piece ball with good spin. Cover thin so does mark up fairly easily. Wilson Duo another good ball under $20.

Never played the xFiXx but Up until 2013 it was always a tester favorite in the golf digest ball reviews.

I've been playing the yellow version of the 2012 e6 for $19.99. Very solid option at that price for a mid to high capper.

I have been very happy with the WilsonStaff duos. Great price, and perform great for my non-tour style of play. Honestly I only buy other balls to try, I have been on the duo bandwagon for a bit over a year now.

Our local Kmart is selling taylormade burner tp's 2 dozen for $18.00.
Seems to be the original 3 piece ball although some of the boxes had new packaging design. I have had some good experiences gettg tps to bite.

You can buy them off their website as a non-member for a $6 surcharge but you have to buy 4-dozen of them for $60. The HEX Control balls are the HX Bite balls with a slightly softer cover and you can get the HX Bites at Golfsmith for $15/dozen when you buy three boxes.

Yeah I've seen that. I did say no complaints and this isn't really a complaint I guess but if you are aggressive with your wedges it will definitely show on the xFIXx. I'm a "picker" and fairly easy on my golf balls but I do play the occasional flop shop which leaves'em with a bit of orange peel unlike something like a Z-Star where they look like new shot after shot.

Either way I would still highly recommend the xFIXx in this price range.
