Rory back to Cameron Again

Recommended Posts

Looks like Rory had the Cameron back in the bag at the PGA at Wentworth today. Pretty surprising he doesn't just stick it out with the method, considering its so similar to the cameron...

Well it's true, at least for one round. I really think he should just stick with his new stick and stop the back and forth. That can't be helping and shows he's not to confident right now (putting at least) which is unfortunate.

Nike should just cut the BS and release a Non Method, Limited Edition, solid carbon, Newport style, milled putter. Tiger and Rory can both play it because God knows they would both be playing their coveted Camerons if it wasn't for their sponsorships.

And I am not a fan of Scotty Cameron putters in the least...But I am a fan of club confidence and the difference that it can make...especially with the flat stick.

Interesting to see this. I agree completely on his get up. Not quite sure what they were thinking about that color combo. And ditto on the above post. These guys are pros and have well above the said 10,000 hours that it takes to master something. I wouldn't expect a switch from his SC to his Method to have really much of an impact. But then again what do I know.

I mean, I like golf balls
but not that much.

The problem is between his ears. Tiger made the switch and it doesn't seem to be doing him any harm. I believe he's #1 in one of the major putting statistics. Also there are several other players that switched as well, and they kept moving right along. I.E. Nick Watney, etc.

Doesn't matter Cameron or Method, Rors is not putting well with either one. He is struggling right now to find his game. The only solid showing this year was at Houston. He has had really good rounds in other tournaments, but did not play well for all for days, provided he made the cut. Personally I think it is just too much going on in his life right now and his head is not in it.

But then again he has always been a streaky putter and I never thought that putting was the strength of his game.

[/quote]Yes Tiger made the switch but he hasn't won a Major with the method. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but there hasn't been a major winner use a Nike putter yet. A major win would solidify the method if and when it happens? Until then the Camerons still gives the confidence many are looking for. And the old (Indian and arrow) thing I never bought into because if the Indians had compund bows things may have turned out a bit different, food for thought.

I will correct you:

Specifically with Method technology? I am not positive. Plenty of Nike putters winning Majors, though. (Cink, Glover, etc.)

Everyone was telling Tiger to go back to the Scotty for MONTHS AND MONTHS after he switched.

Now that he is putting better than anyone again everyone goes quiet.

Tiger stuck with the new putter even though everyone on the forums thought all he needed was to switch to the Scotty and majors would fall out of trees like apples. Rory really needs to stick with it as well. Back and forth swapping is not going to help. He needs to commit. It's not the putter.

It's not the putter. To everyone saying it is, just lol. Kid is searching and he's not going to find it by switching back to his old putter. I'd say I feel bad and poor rory, but he golfs for a living with a huge contract ha.
