LPGA Wegman`s

Morgan's shorts were the highlight. Otherwise it seems like a quasi-major. Course is lush and I'm sure it's a great facility but there's a sameness to virtually every hole. None of them stand out. Year after year I struggle to remember the layout. Holes early on the nines feature some water, but not coming home.

Besides, the 54 hole televised events that are claimed as 72 could not be less satisfying. The rain out on Thursday soiled this tournament. I enjoy walking 36 hole finales but TV can't handle them.

I was more captivated by the Bahamas event than this one.

Michelle was barely mentioned today, and never shown.

Many players faltered late so the event got lucky with a manageable number making the cut at +6. It very nearly was exactly 70 at +5. Jennifer Johnson receives so little respect, despite winning a few weeks ago, that Golf Channel ignored her on her final two holes late in the day, even as she bogeyed both of them to miss the cut by one shot. Two pars would have shifted the cut to +5.

Interesting comment by Laura Davies regarding the WG HOF. Apparently she asked to have her name removed from the ballot since she wants to earn her way into the LPGA HOF.
Yeah she's been saying that for several years now.. Just needs two more wins, or one major on the LPGA to get in via qualifying. Regardless, with 80+ worldwide wins, she'll go in one way or another for sure, whether on getting those last two points by wins, or voted in later in the special category. Would love to see her get in on with a win, to be honest, but chances seem slim.
Laura needs to forget about herself and consider the pathetic caliber of players who otherwise will threaten induction in the near future. She's a gambler. I used to watch her spend hour after hour in the Desert Inn sportsbook when the tour played there. She'd bet races and games and everything available. But she's handicapping this quite poorly. If she allowed herself to be voted in, we'll be spared one mediocrity who rightfully should be delayed or ignored.

Best group to follow tomorrow would be the bombers -- Davies, Lexi and Korda.

I deleted before they closed out the broadcast, did they say anything about extended or early coverage Sunday?

Champions Tour coverage of the Tradition (also a major?) starts at 7:30pm. Will be interesting to see what TGC does if the women aren't done by then...

How about Amy Yang ( Rolex no, 19) starting at 715am....WTF....if I was her agent someone would be receiving an ear load.
Amy hasn`t done much this year......I thought Amy would always break out.....effortless swing with distance....I`m very very surprise she doesn`t have a LPGA win yet.
I guess my shut out motivated Amy...lol.....T4 after 36 holes.

Aza just might make the cut...

Aza choked it on the back 9.
Aza is one of my favs....BUT
She needs to work on her putting.
Stick with a caddie young lady.....I assumed she fired John Killeen after her most successful year with him....then has caddie BF on the bag for a few weeks.....and now has Ji Ya's ex loop carrying the clubs now.

Shame BamBam dropped those two strokes on 7/16, but with her lately it's always like a time bomb waiting to go off. A big number is only one quick slash away it seems. Sunday seems a good paring for MP, she's not paired with super long hitters so should be a comfortable group.

Pat Hurst seems to have lost quite a bit of weight, haven't seen her in some time, it's pretty noticeable.

Four hours is almost too much coverage, at least on this course, anyway. I found myself FF'ing toward the last hour, so might have missed a few things.

Saw Victoria Tanco and Karen Stupples were both DQ'd, anyone know the details?
Bam Bam's moodiness gets in her way.
Yes....MP watching the 2 Korean Ice Queens for 36 holes will allow her to be patient and assist to minimize emotions on a very long day.

Pat has lost the weight for some time....her hubbie I assume still is the Ping rep for the tour....I believe his name is Jeff.

Supposedly, Tanco was to replace a late WD pro early Fri and didn't make the tee time.

No re-pairing....4th rd tee times already posted for Sun....if the last group takes 5 hrs it will take them to 7pm EST...the original coverage.
But I would not be surprised if there was a play-off....I believe the format is cumulative 3 holes.

Although the Champions has a major too....it will be broadcasted in a delay...so hope GC does the right thing and sticks with a potential LPGA play-off coverage.

One's gotta believe with 6 Koreans (4 with majors) on the leader board.....one will stay patient and emotionless (surprise surprise) with a hot putter after 36 holes to win this.

IMO.....the wet greens helped the gals to make some nice chips.

FYI......The playing conditions on Sat look like the playing conditions here in the PNW from Nov to mid April......I guess it's better than hitting it 40 yds in a golf dome...like some of you poor souls. :taunt:

For some reason I'm hoping MP finds some patience and keeps putting well to pull this thing out. 36 holes is a tough ask though, even for her being a Major champion.

Korda is really beginning to impress me. Girl can hit shots and has the ability to take one less club and power up. That's a huge advantage when playing tournaments with deep rough. My early bet is that she has a better career than Creamer, Pressel or Wie.

Jesse seems to get flier's every now and the from her Lethals. TM makes nice premium balls...but I've yet to hit a 'hot shot' off my irons from a ProV1....it's such a consistent ball.

I like Jesse...she has quite a ways to go to catch Paula.

I know I'm in the minority....any one else here would rather see some one other than Morgan win?
Understand where you're going here Putt. I used to be a huge Morgan fan but drama finds her and she's is on the verge of joining Team Pouty B. Compare her to Jess K. My sense from her personality is that Jess would just say, OK...let's forget this and go play golf. Morgan would cry and squawk. I respect Morgan for her competitiveness and hope that her recent marriage will help her find peace and let her rue natural talents consistently come to the surface.

Ya Jesse.....is Cindy Lauper.....Girls just Wanna have Fun.
Jesse and Lexi are about equal in talent...but I don't believe Jesse puts as much pressure on herself as Lexi....which helps Jesse,
I think the pressure on Lexi comes from the expectations from others (no not her parents) and her own expectations.
Petr Korda has repeatedly said all he expects is for Jesse to have fun on tour.

From early clips, Morgan's shorts may be better than yesterday. I hope she doesn't change after 18.

I'm rooting for Morgan.

Great rally by Ai Miyazato with a third round 66. She must have forgotten it's a major.

Yeah, the Koreans are predictably bunching at the top. I picked the wrong ones, other than Na Yeon Choi.

Many players were well into their final round long before everyone finished the third round. Live scoring doesn't reflect their scores but if you click on the individual name the fourth round scores are there.

Michelleee is headed for a top 10 finish, and points for the "2 teams 1 cup" squad are like 1000x this week...she is currently #13 in the points standings. I'm not going to pretend like I know how these points work but I'm willing to wager that after this weekend she is squarely in the top 12. And if not, do you ppl really believe that Michelleee will be left off the team so that "Jennifer Johnson" "Gerina Piller" and "Katie Futcher" can play? I don't think so!!! That's just not how the world works. Doesn't matter how bad she's been sucking and for how long, Michelleee is the biggest draw in girls golf, nobody else even comes close. I'm not a hater or anything but that fact that she is still in such a position is a damnation of US girls golf you have to admit that. The lack of depth is remarkable.

BamBam with a 77...ouch. Pouty with a 76, Korda with a 76, Lang with an 80, Paula 76, V Hurst 77, in round 3...some high scores today for USA players... Double SC points (not 1000x :) ) out there for the taking and no one seems to want them other that MP and MW I guess... McPherson moving up too...

It's shaping up to be Morgan vs rest of the world, as someone stated above...

Was Pressel's marking correct on 17th after she put it way past the hole on her eagle attempt?

Yes. They're playing lift, clean and place. She put it back, because she marked it.
