info?

Anyone that has any info about the school, golf program, coach or home course please let me know. I just received a bunch of stuff from them in the mail and I am looking for any information. I am only a junior so i have another year and a bit so any help would be appreciated.

Can't tell you much about the golf (moved out of state before I took up golf), but I should've transferred to OU from Kent. Decent academics (some departments are excellent for an Ohio state school), good support of student athletics, nice campus, and a total party scene. Seriously, that place gets crazy. :rolleyes:

I was adopted by their collegiate cycling team since I was the only kid from my school and I hung out with 'em for a few years. Cool place, always a good time. Better weather than NE Ohio too.

I talked to their coach when I was doing my college stuff a few years ago. I can't remember many details either, but I think they're decent. I think they have good sports marketing/sports management major.

hi there......just saw your post and cannot resist! i was an o.u. bobcat! i made the team as a walkon but headed out because the team was very weak and they are the only division 1 school in the u.s. without an 18 hole facility!!! the coach was very weird....cooley was his name. he made a dude run laps at practice one time!!!hahaha. i would look elsewhere for golf. the party scene is incredible though!! great lookin girls....great campus! halloween there is awesome! hope that helps.

So what you guys are saying is that the school is good and great parties but the golfing sucks??

The coach sent me a letter saying they are building a new course there and its gonna be 18 holes and the team is going to play there.

Golf is pretty unique to any other college sport. You can have a team that is miserable every year and all of the sudden get two or three kids who flew under the radar who really play well as freshman. All of the sudden, the team that has never been any good is all the sudden great. Look at Kentucky from a few years ago. They were awful forever, got a few good players and suddenly were national players. Where I played in college always had a decent team, never anything special.

they are far from the only d. 1 program without a 18 hole facility.

I actually have a firend who has committed to play for Ohio.. they have a solid little program going for themselves. im sure it wil only get stronger.
