4 hole practice loop at Pineneedles GC in Pinehurst early AM. Had it all to myself before my 9am tee time at Pineneedles. Played it twice went back to Mid Pines, ate breakfast, hit range then played Pineneedles.

That's the par 4 17th

 

I have more but:

1. They are virtually indistinguishable from that one or 85%+ of all FL courses.

 

2. The vistas really aren't worth remembering

 

That whining aside, for the amount paid ($40) the course was certainly decent enough if a little boring for a former tour venue. I can't imagine how much they had to trick it up to keep the PGA guys from shooting in the 50s as it would be basically without trouble for them.

Here's one from Central Valley course in Salt Lake City.

I wouldn't put this short executive track on a "courses to play" list but it opens after a snow before all the other courses in the city, and sometimes availability is my only requirement for golf. :)

 

I'm pretty sure it's sited on sewage facility land. And the geese really like this place. Just saying.

But the panoramic views are pretty great if you look past the central valley industrial stuff in the foreground.

View of the 1st/10th @ The Ranch G&CC here in Edmonton - worked here for 3 summers until last year

 

 

11th @ Johnson Ranch in Queen Creek AZ - very lucky that the in-laws have a place here :)

 

 

3rd @ Greywolf in Panorama BC - worked here for 2 summers a few years back, still my favourite course I've ever played

 

 

Finally - the 6th @ Greywolf - Cliffhanger! Photo definitely doesn't do it justice, phenomenal golf hole...

grew up playing that course!!! That was my home course in High School. It has turned into....... words cannot describe it. Every time I'm back in Anaheim I think I want to play it one last time, then I drive by the parking lot and re think that.

Awesome tee shot for someone like me that likes to play a cut. My ball was over the ocean about 90% of the time it was in the air and ended up about two paces off of the green.
