I liked Longbow.  Amazed that you had 13 pictures (in DropBox) and not a single airplane in the sky.  One of the reasons I liked Longbow is that you never knew what kind of vintage aircraft would be in the air that day.

 

Last time I played there, I was joined up with a Ma & Pa from the Mid-West somewhere.  They were about 80 years old and so were their clubs.  Ma had this 2 iron with a grip so slick I don't know how she held onto it.  She used it for nearly every shot outside of 75 yards.  Felt bad for them as they were nice people and totally overmatched by the course.

No kidding. The greens were about as tough as you're going to find. A few bordering on goofy. However, given that it's a par 3 course, the greens are the only defense. Not a course I'd play again, but definitely a fun time. I had a few "creative" shots using the slopes.

I love desert golf, but you're right, the vast majority of the courses in the Phoenix area are flat as a pancake. There are a handful though that have some decent elevation changes, e.g. Eagle Mountain, Quintero.

The front nine routes through the original development, and the homes sit on very large lots. They're present, but it doesn't feel pinched.

 

The opening holes on the back nine have more homes on smaller lots, and feels tighter. The eastern edge of the course is still under development, so it's fairly wide open. The final few holes swing back into the homes. The 18th is adjacent to the driving range, so it feels less crowded.

Just googled it and I see that now. They should hire you to take picture for marketing 😃  Made it look wide open
