it looks like challenging track.  I could be mistaken for a course in UK.

Quite the challenge. The "open" holes have thick grass/vegetation along the edges, so wayward drives result in lost balls. A number of the holes are narrow parkland, and an errant drive is also a lost ball in the forest.

Argonne - you always seem to find and play really great courses.  You have to start a blog/vlog with pictures.  Thanks for sharing/contributing to this forum (and the AZ forum)

I generally create a thread in the travel section when I travel. This round was a one off on my way to the LPGA tournament in Toledo. I posted some comments in the Chicago thread (Midwest subforum).

This is so awesome. My GF was just talking about wanting to see kangaroos in real life.

when you zoom in on these photos to each one there is a lot of hilarity going on! They are doing some hysterical stuff.

where is this if you don’t mind my asking?

This is Yarrambat Park GC on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia.  Most courses in Aus that aren’t in the heart of suburbia will have their own kangaroo population. Did you notice the albino in the 2nd pic?

Towards the top of my bucket list. Was it as difficult as advertised?

I've played it 2x and imho yes, it's as difficult (or more so depending on rough) as advertised.  Green complexes/raised greens are very hard to navigate.

Yes, definitely as difficult as advertised. Big storm came through the night before my round and the rough was extremely lush, but the greens were still frim. Tough walk too. Can't wait to get back though (maybe even try and launch the drone).

Played my second shot on #18 from the fairway of #1 on the red course, which looks like a great little brother to the black course.

When you played, did you camp overnight for a tee time? I have read that’s the best way for out of state golfers to get on.

I got very lucky. The storm the night before looked like it was going to linger into the morning so some people cancelled. I was in town for the week periodically checking times, and then saw on the online portal an 8:30 am time for two. Took a chance with the weather and booked a single spot. The weather held up and it was a great day. Camping is a good option too.

No, fortunately had a friend who lived on Long Island and had the ability to book a tee time online (both times).  I didn't get to experience the camp out the night before thing that everyone talks about.

Yes! That one is great. It’s got some fluffy fur too. The one with its head in its pouch on the far right of the same pic is funny as well. And the one laid out on its side just above. Man I could go on. What fabulous photos.

going to have to put this on the list for sure.

thank you!

Took this photo on the first. We were 2nd group off this morning. Middle of winter here, played terribly but it’s always worth the effort

Here are a few pix from a round at the Charles Banks course at Forsgate in Monroe, NJ. I'm doing a "home and home" with a friend I met through GolfWrx. The Banks course is fantastic. It's on a great property with rolling hills that give a lot of different lies and variety of holes. It has the large deep bunkers that Banks is known for and great greens with lots of movement and sometimes ridges. There are also template redan, Biarritz and a thumb print greens.   Link to full phot album: Forsgate Banks course pix

I only took one pic before I put the phone in the bag for the rest of the day. Wanted to take a few after the round, but the fog was so thick even the caddies had a hard time watching for the balls (we couldn't see them on the last couple holes).

Shelter Harbor, RI. Chipping practice area below, with the tees and 9th fairway coming towards the pic to the right. Stunning course to play.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2

      Stealth 2 Plus

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
