More on Brittany, apparently played an charity exhibition in WV on the 8th, WD'd from Manulife due to injury (unclear exactly when she WD'd), flew home, then played a round at Bardmoor in FL on the 9th. hmmm...

Taking a little heat for it on twitter as well... Apparently she has an ongoing back injury, and chiropractor visits help

I'll start the picks of the week...with the theme of girls I'd like my sons to date.

1. So Yeon Ryu
2. Jessica Korda
3. Catriona Matthew - my oldest son has a thing for older women...yeah I know she's married but it was the best I could come up with...

Bam Bam's not the brightest star in the sky.
You'd think her agent or parents would give her some guidance.
Bam Bam......less is more.....it doesn't look good when you WD and tweet you are still playing golf......just WD and don't tweet....you don't need to tell everyone what you are doing everyday.

Likely quite a few Symetra pros at the Mon qualifier....considering this week's event is in Syracuse a 5 hr drive from Waterloo...likely a bunch of gals car pooled.

It's a shame this event couldn't be closer to Toronto to increase the chance of an even larger attendance....although they did say attendance was good last year.....and the attendance maybe be larger cause school is out...it was held in June in 2012.
It would be nice if they could find a better host course....but Grey Silo was the only track to offer it's course.....with a shorter season....not many clubs are willing to give up their course.

Manulife also doesn't have the support that Golf Canada provides to the CWO to coordinate and negotiate with courses to move it around Canada.
CN did not renew it's contract....an announcement is expected after the CN CWO on a new sponsorship.

Dave....a MAJOR fail my friend

Catriona...huh.....try Laura Diaz

Great call Putt but...I'm a huge Laura Diaz fan...if anyone is going out with her it's me. Plus Catriona actually has a chance to win...Laura has been mired in a multi-year slump.

My picks:

InBee....why not?....besides...she was in the playoff last year b4 her putter started on fire

This track does not have trees and I don't think there is much rough..so I'm going with 2 bombers
Lexi
Jesse

Gerina....you better light it up for the upcoming stretch and move up the Rolex rankings if you're gonna qualify.

as well as Kimberly Kim, former US Am winner.
I remember getting sucked into that US AM final between her and a German girl. It was pretty intense. Kim was still a little kid. Down the stretch she was so nervous she would bury her face in a towel when her opponent was hitting, couldn't bear to even watch. Then she made a great putt on 18 to win. Since then I always rooted for her but I guess she's had some struggles playing at the LPGA level.

I gotta stick with So Yeon Ryu as she keeps getting close, I think she will eventually break through. I am also going to go with Jess Korda (is the boyfriend still on the bag or has she found a pro caddie?) as she has been close, and hopefully as 22 says, long hitters might have some advantage on this track. I am going against Inbee this week even though her stats say she should always be a choice given her win percentage and recent streak. I think I am going with Jodi Hyphen as my dark horse. She played well at the USO and maybe that inspired her to do what I know she can do. I met Jodi here in New Mexico where she was practicing with the UNM Lobos a their home course one day when I was playing. She was the Mountain West Player of the year 4 times, winning the MW Championship 3 times in 4 years. Here is her college bio which is pretty impressive - http://www.golobos.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/jodi_ewart_255826.html. So, maybe she has gained the confidence and experience on the LPGA to finally get her first win. I too hope Gerina (another native NM'er) has a good week so maybe she can play on the Solheim US Team.

I too used to have a thing for Laura and her beautiful eyes. However, I don't care for her boyish haircut these days and I think her marginal play will eventually force her to give up the game and stay home with the kids ala Leta Lindley and many others.

I don't think we can count Nicole in the 'retired' babes just yet. She has to stay in there with the current babes!

I give Nicole this title
"the LPGA's classic beauty"

IMO....Nicole is the most graceful and stylish lady when attending a gala event.
Always wears a chic dress that is hemmed properly around her knees, complimented with styling classic pumps.

She would be more popular if she did more self promotion.

Sheesh, the sportsbooks don't want any money on Inbee Park. They didn't even try to hide it. Inbee is as low as 5/2 to win this event. Everybody else is double digits. At some joints it gaps all the way up to 14/1 for the second choice.

I don't really care about that aspect, but it gets ridiculous when Inbee is dropped completely from the matchups. That's what happened this week. They don't feel comfortable booking her against anyone else head-to-head. It's as if Inbee isn't playing. In Tiger's heyday the books would use 2 or 3 other players against him, like a tag team. Tiger had to defeat everybody to win the matchup. And he would still be a -200 or -250 favorite. It will be interesting to see if they go that route with Inbee.

I'll go with Stacy this week. Not too long ago she was ahead of Inbee in the betting odds. Now she's more than 5 times as high. I saw 15/1 at one spot.

Although Stacy won Kraft a couple of years ago, her game can be exposed on difficult layouts, IMO. She still might be shook up and lack confidence after failing recently while paired with Inbee. But an easier track like this can provide a downhill boost. Stacy is still ahead of Inbee in some categories, like subpar holes per round, and second in vital categories like putts per GIR. At more than 5x odds, it's worth a shot at a natural correction. Besides, I just don't want to pick the favorite, not at a low number. It's fine if you've already collected on her and continue to roll.

I'll try all Americans, which should free up Na Yeon Choi to have a big event. Her distribution is ridiculous this year, third on the scoring list but only one result above T6. That's almost unheard of on the LPGA.

Maybe Jessica can fare better than Stacy, when paired with Inbee. Na Yeon again receives the strange pairing of the week award. I'm not sure who they are confusing her with this time. She's paired with Lorie Kane, apparently for the benefit of the Canadian audience.

Looks like we're going to see some Kelli K on the broadcast this week as she's doing some of the pro-am coverage today.
Why stop there....where's Beth Daniel and Val to make a trifecta??!!!??? :russian_roulette:
Could Judy be taking the week off to work The Open Championship next week?

I like Abbott as an on course reporter for the pro-am...he's usually good to say something dumb or take a fun shot at a pro.
GC loves Aza....she was on the Manulife pro-am show last year too.
InBee doesn't care for the spotlight.....Ryu basks in it
Did you see Hee Young Park at the end...she seems like a really fun pro......I wonder about her English skills.

Although I did choose InBee.....I must say for some reason I'm not overly confident on a win....but a top 5.
A letdown this week seems sensible, a good result but not a win. But I wouldn't back away from picking her. If I were actually betting money to win I'd be taking her often, based on those Sagarin ratings I mentioned a month or two ago. Inbee was far ahead even when everything else pointed to parity with Stacy. In picking the top three it's a fun game to look for undervalued players, even if I haven't been successful very often.

The fact that she is still a physically dominant specimin - even if her appendages may be too long for uber constent play - seperates her from the rest of the worldwide subset of excellent women golfers. As for Tryon, my feeling is that he is probably a gender adjusted pound-for-pound more talented golfer than Ms. Wie, but there are just so dang many male golfers. How many more, who knows? Here's an example: Name two left handed professional woman golfers. Name one. MW is a big fish in a small bowl. She's good for the LPGA, she's here for the duration and hopefully will make it back to help the US win a Solheim Cup or three.
