LIVE CHAT / GIVEAWAY: True Temper on DG Pro, Thursday, July 18 at NOON ET

Based on the description, the "Pro" in the name stands for "progressive", but as a golf consumer, I associate the word "Pro" with golf equipment more suitable for better players (i.e. Callaway X Hot Pros, Mizuno JPX Pros, etc). One of the things I admire about the original DGs are their universal appeal and performance for different swing types and abilities. Will the DG Pros be a legitimate option for all skill levels, and what benefits would a golfer with a slow, smooth tempo gain as opposed to a golfer with a fast, aggressive swing? Thanks!

Given that some of the things learned from the Monaco were incorporated into the DG Pro, would you say the DG Pro is a good alternative for those of us that like the Monaco put don't like the premium price?

Can you tell us what impact on performance hard stepping or soft stepping will have with these shafts as the literature I read said they are weight variable based on which shaft you are weighing... IE: 4 iron shafts weighs such and such... 8 iron weighs such and such...

I have tried everything (retail) that has ever come out waiting for something to replace DG... It never happens. Being that this shaft is from TT and basically a tweaked version of what I always have played it's very interesting to me and can't wait to try them...

My question is do the longer iron shafts spin less since they launch higher? If you have figured out how to do this with the same DG consistency I love I'm in... Have tried all the competitors and they may spin less but nothing can replicate the feel and consistency I get with DG. If the longer irons fly higher, don't balloon and have the same feel/consistency I will switch.
Any of you guys that tried them have any thoughts? Thanks

What will the DG Pro bring to the iron shaft market that no shaft currently has, and what will its availability be? Thanks so much for your comments!

Okay, so the original Dynamic Golds (S300, S400, etc.) have been the staple of True Temper for years and the introduction of the new DG Pro shafts is bringing a lot of attention among DG fans. As a fan myself, I need to ask...what is the reasoning behind introducing a new product when the original has worked so well?

How does the shaft play at a longer length? (+1" to be precise :derisive: ) It sounds like they have differing butt stiffnesses on the short, mid, and long irons. Anny effect on ballflight when played longer?

For the player that hits a low ball already, will this end up being too low launching in the short irons?

How do the DG Pro shafts compare to the Project X Flighted? It sounds like a very similar concept but perhaps just using some new tech?

Will they be available in taper tip only? It sounds like the long irons might work really well in a hybrid for the player looking for a consistent feel to their irons.

What would be the optimum flex for someone who swings a 6 iron at 90 MPH? 80 MPH?

Thanks for any and all questions you guys will be answering!

Is this shaft a replacement to phase out production of the current DG shafts? I.e. the DG pro s300 is now going to be the only s300 shaft produced? Or is this a different line targeted towards a different market? It seems this technology is more of an improvement of the current options and not designed to be an "in addition to." Like when manufacturers introduce a new driver I.e. TM r1 replacing the r11s.

How does the ball flight of the DG Pro's in the short irons compare to the ball flight of the regular DG's?

The regular DG's already have a nice short iron ball flight, it's just the long irons that could use some help imo.

As we see new composite iron shafts hitting the market and having success (ie Recoil and SteelFiber), how does the TT team feel DG stacks up against the offerings, and what are some of the benefits of the DG Pro to combat these types of products?

Will "progressive" sets become the norm for y'all or will you still offer the straight Dynamic Gold shafts that are available today? I am happy with my long-to-mid iron ball flights, but would like lower trajectories on my mid-to-short irons. Would stepping up from S300s to a progressive x300 set make me happy?

Will the DG Pro be available in both taper and parallel tip size, will the price point be similar to Dynamic Gold, and will they be available as a no upcharge option to Oems using Dg as the stock option i.e. Mizuno or Titleist Thank you

Mr. Cavill -

i went away from true temper after my experience with dynamic gold and projectX flighted shafts. after more than 2 consecutive days of golf, my hands, wrists and elbows HURT. last year, i made the switch to kbs tours when i bought new irons, and the results (no pain) have been outstanding.

my question to you is this: why should i change?

with warm regards,
