Any nebraska golfers?

Benny - I'm reading that you can't play on the weekend...unfortunately, I'm booked up during the week. Work always gets in the way of my golf habit....and I've used up too much vacation this 1st Quarter already.

Not sure if you've been to Nebraska this time of year, but the grass will still be a bit brown and greens will run shaggy and slow. Quarry Oaks will definitely be a great course to play...I'm actually going out there this weekend and will let you know what to expect. The offseason rates are good through April 15th!

Iron Horse...it's nice...but I'm not as big of a fan of that course.

A couple other good courses in the area to consider if you have time...Indian Creek (Elkhorn, NE), Bent Tree (Council Bluffs, IA), Woodland Hills (Eagle, NE). If you have a day to kill, I would definitely recommend a road trip to Gothenburg, NE to play Wild Horse. It's a 2.5-3 hour drive, but that is the closest you'll get to prairie links golf without an invite to the private courses in Mullen, NE (Sand Hills, Dismal River, etc).

If you end up becoming available to play on the weekend...let me know...and I'd be happy to play a round of golf with you. Have a safe trip!

Haven't had the chance to player there yet (it's on the list)...but they are semi-private like Prairie Club with a Stay and Play package. Wild Horse is still the cheapest place for that experience...

Last fall they had a promo, show up and play for about $45, $55 on the weekend. I just couldn't make it happen.

No kidding...I happen to notice the course in one of the golf magazines and then looked it up. It looked like that all they only offered "Stay and Play" packages. I'd love to try the course...but I'll have to see where the golf buddies want to go this year. Initial talk was Prairie Club up in Valentine, NE.

It is back to stay and play now, hope to get another chance this fall. It was a promo from Wildhorse, Links of Nebraska golf tour. Also had deals for Prairie Club, Bayside, Wildhorse, Prairie Club was still too much for me.

Lincoln here. Anyone wanting to meet up at the range for some work? Would really enjoy having a range group where we could help each other out. Whatever the issues may be in trying to find or fix our swing. All of my golfing buddies just want to play, not practice

I am right across the northeast border of Nebraska. Yankton, SD :) If anyone is in the area and wants to play at any time let me know. Today is December 1st; I played last week on Black Friday, 45-50 degrees, almost dead still to no wind and the sun was shining. Jeans and a fleece pullover, it was a great day to play 9. Looks to be 42-45 degrees and sunny this weekend (will be great if the wind stays down). Hope to snag a couple golf days in December and January in South Dakota. Does not get any sweeter than that!

I have been a member for a while and just never looked at this section. Play most of golf in and around Lincoln, but get up to Omaha to play on occasion.

Tregaron is a great little course. I usually play at least a handful of rounds there.

Yeah, not a lot of action on either this thread or the WRX Iowa thread and most of the Iowans seem to be central or east. Would be nice to see some more though. Omaha is getting that TopGolf by the Westroads which will be nice.

Omaha here, just finding this regional forum. This town full of golfers, good to know some are on WRX. If anyone is following, I'm looking for a partner for the Stone Creek 2-man big cup scramble on Oct 21. Just for fun, I hear they got decent steak after! 9 HC, in case that matters to you. Will follow the thread and see if we can't get some late season action and more in 2018. LOVE the idea of a Tatanka/west NE meetup that pulls in some SD and CO guys.
