Macgregor Muirfield Irons

I'm back with a new Goodwill score...

 

Found a 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, PW at Goodwill for $2 per...

 

and... I'm in love... They're all in the same condition... Not perfect, but still very good... No gouges, just a bit of chatter...

 

They're going straight in the bag...

 

Now I have to hit ebay for a 9 iron...

Great find. Love those Goodwills. Check with Uncle Bob about a 9 iron. He has quite a few tricks up his sleeve.

I don't know what it is about these Muirfields, but they're just wonderful... incredible... Maybe I'm jumping the gun, as I've only been to the range with them three times, but damn they're just easy to hit... I'm all geeked out right now about being able to draw and fade and sudden lack of really crummy strikes... even the mishits seem to be going in the direction I want...

It's probably just three unusually good days at the range...

I hope it does turn out to be the clubs

[size=5]I bought my Muirfields at a car boot sale in York in the north of England some years ago and paid £20 ($35) for 3-sw,I cycled home.washed the grips and teed it up in the monthly medal an hour later,not having hit a shot with them.[/size]
[size=5]No 'Cinderella Story',I didn't shoot course record or even win the competition but I did play to my handicap which was 9 back then and enjoyed playing with them,I have since added Muirfield 20th irons to my small collection,I find them a little easier to hit,but both great irons.[/size]

As a fellow Muirfield owner, I completely agree. They are surprisingly forgiving for how small the heads are.  I find them to be more forgiving then my 76 Wilson Staffs.  
 

I think the love-fest will continue for you.
