BEST Titleist Fairway Wood Ever?

They did make 13* 906s
I stand corrected, I've never seen one in person anywhere(Now I gotta find one and hit/buy it). They Made 13.5's in F4 and 13's in F2. I do often wonder why they haven't made a "2 wood" since the 975F 12.5° "Strong"...

A 13 Degree F2 may very well take the 975F out of my bag, I wonder if the ball flight is as high as I hope.

I've played a lot of Titleist FW and the 913 FD is a different beast. It's almost like the 913 FD is Titleists answer to the RBZ FWs. I find the 913 FD easy enough off the turf and miles more forgiving, hotter and longer than my previous 910 F. Don't be fooled by the deep face for tee shots only marketing. The face doesn't look deeper than the TM FW stuff, but because of Titleist's marketing I think it's not gettig the credit it deserves. Too many go for the F model for off the turf, but I've found the FD is just as easy with MUCH better sound, lower spin (get a softer shaft if you need height) and my launch numbers consistently showed the FD was 10 yards longer than the F off the turf.
This is kinda spot on. The deeper face marketing isn't really there. At least it isn't visual, and as finalist says the 913F.d is still close to or even smaller than TM's RBZ Stage 2, so don't get fooled and think it's a big head and impossible from of the turf. It is really easy, and I am very impressed by this Fairway. The best I have ever played.

I had the 910F because I (as many others) thought the F.d was too big and hard from the turf, but I am so happy I discovered and tried the 913F.d. So go on and try it.

I'm looking to pick up a nice titleist fairway wood, something along the lines of 17/18*.

I've hit the 910 series of clubs and like them, but was curious if there was a cheaper option available, possibly MORE FORGIVING.

Personally, i love my 909 15* Hybrid. Will stay in my bag for years to come.

Anyone?

I'm curious about your overall experience with the 909 15* Hybrid. I have the same exact club(with stiff Made for Titleist Voodoo Shaft) and I'm happy with it off the tee and especially off the turf. However, a few months back I took that club along with my 585H 19*(with stiff V2 105g shaft) to a Golf Smith hitting bay and after testing/comparing the two for 20 minutes I noticed the clubs were basically hitting the ball the SAME DISTANCE (in the low 230's after roll). I even have a 1 inch shaft extension in the 909H but the 585H actually had a slightly longer average yardage. I've since gone to a 15* 906f2(stiff V2 85g fairway shaft) for the last few weeks, hoping to get the 250 yardage I thought I was getting with the 909H.

Well, i'm very similar to you actually. My 15* doesn't go much further if any than my Vsteel 7 wood that i use for bombs off the deck. I generally use the 909h off the tee as a ~200 yard layup. I'm certain i just can't hit a 15* club with enough strength/speed to get the full distance out of it. I got it for $40, sold the shaft for $60, and kept the head. For a free club its done quite well for me.

910F for me. I've only hit the 913F.d with the stock S+ Blue 72 shaft and it just wanted to go right. I also had a 913F for a while with the RIP Phenom 80-S and same result, everything wanted to go right...not sure why

The 910F is very long and easy off the deck and plenty forgiving. I play it with the PX Tour 8C4 - great combo and I can hit it straight unlike my personal results with the 913 series

How on earth has the 904f been left out, I mean the possible worst fairway that titleist made has been named in the 980f. The 904f is clearly one of the all time great fairways that Titleist has ever released....

I've had the 975, 980 (both strong and reg), 904 and 906f2. I've tried the 909s and 910s and wasn't that impressed. The 906F2 is by far the best one I've played. Long, great feel and great look. The 980 Strong is my next favorite.

904f 4W is a great club. I hit it long off the tee - not so good off the deck, but that's mostly the Indian not the arrow. ....but now i'm itching to pick up one of the 906f4 clubs you guys keep raving about...

The 904F is the longest fairway wood I've hit. It has a carpenter steel head and face giving a unique sound and feel. Not the most forgiving FW in the world though and I get it trouble if I play it too far forward in my stance.

Agreed... Hot bullets off the tee was the Norm... SOLID

I guess it would depend though what type of shot the "best" would be considered....

I have a 15.5 and 18.5 and they are my favorite fairways of all time. I have a black tie in the 3 wood and a rombax 7z08 in the 5 wood and they are both point and shoot.

I have a 909 5 wood and 910f 3 wood

the 909 is my magic club , its gotten me out of soo many jams , played in a member guest match play thing and it was an absolute momentum shifter ....

I'm not digging the 910f that much , I think its mostly due to the shaft , I am waiting on a 913fd to arrive to replace it , hopefully before the club c this sat .. glad to read a few people have it as their favorite ...

I think the 906f2 is the best all around (tee/turf) and has an amazing feel. But my 910Fd is such a rocket though. And I still can't kick out my 980f 19 no matter what

906F2, no contest. Best combination of distance, feel, and accuracy. It took an RBZ Tour and a Callaway 3 Deep to get it out of my bag.

Another vote for the 906 series. Love the look, have tried to kick the 18* out of the bag but it keeps coming back!

My exact sentiments, I've hit 909, 910, 913. 906 stays.

Thats all good news. I've just grabbed a 906f4 locally for $40. Id a havnt had a chance to hit it yet but i love the look of it. I'll have to let everyone know what i think. It ended up being an easy decision. The 906 has received nothing but good fb from this thread!

906 f4, YS6 shaft, :crazy2: The best club I ever sold
I actually found this exact club locally. 18.5*, 906f4. I tried it out for the first time this week. I was getting crazy distance for what I generally get from my current 18*. The thing that impressed me most was the accuracy and tight dispersion from off the tee.

I would like to compare it to an r11 i've had my eye on for a while but i'm not sure i can kick this out of the bag.
