I'm going to call Brookledge in a little while and see what tee times they have open Saturday. I will try to get two as close to noon as possible, if that's cool with everyone. Will two times be enough?

Whoa! I didn't realize so many WRX'ers lived so close. I don't normally post (obviously with only 1 official post) but I only live 7/8 minutes away from Brookledge and less than 5 minutes from Roses Run. I mainly play Roses Run due to how packed Brookledge is every time I have been there. I wont know until later today if I could make it Saturday but it would be cool to meet new people. I play quite a bit, this past weekend played 9 holes on Friday, 18 on Saturday and 27 on Sunday. I will keep posting on here to hopefully meet up with some of you if not this weekend

Ok, I made three times on Saturday the 19th at Brookledge- 12:04, 12:12, 12:20 (8 minute tee times on a Saturday sounds like a slow afternoon to me). Figured I'd make three times in case anyone wanted to bring someone along- I can always call and cancel one if it looks like we wont need three. Joe, don't forget to shoot Kymar a text or whatever, he said he'd probably play if you reminded him. If anyone knows of anyone that would like to play, by all means invite them. I'll start a new list here, and if anyone has a tee time preference pencil yourself in. I am only putting myself in the first group for simplicity's sake, I couldn't care less what time I tee off... so if someone wants to get out quick, feel free to change my time. Also, whoever wants to play with me, feel free to add your name. Though I will not be going all frat boy at the course, beer will be drank in my cart and possibly a stogie or two smoked. Consider yourself warned.

I also didn't realize how much the rates at Brookledge have gone up over the years. It's a nice course but the weekend rates are approaching what Boulder Creek and similar courses charge.

Yikes. I'm really close to Brookledge and I've probably hit at downview more than any other range, but that is getting pricey. They have done a great job improving the course and the greens are pretty darn good there now for a public course, but they might start pricing out some people at those rates... Really like their staff, their pro is a good guy.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it, so if anything I'd probably be a last minute add on if there is still an open spot. If I can't make it someone better tear #3 up, that hole is my nemesis. I've hit the green probably 10 times and only made birdie once. That green is stupid hard.

I don't care who I play with either. I am having a work related issue that may prevent me from playing Saturday but as of now I am still in. Hopefully I can get everything taken care of before Saturday. If I play, I will definitely be at the range before as well. Was anybody planning on walking or are we all riding?

I'll do either or. I like to walk, especially when its cart path only, but I'll ride if that's what everyone else wants to do.

I normally prefer to walk, but I think Saturday I might get a cart. It's easier to put a few beers in a cooler in a cart than to carry them in the bag, lol.

I'll just play it by ear then on the walk or ride thing. I'll be OK either way. I think there is a good chance that things dry up nice, especially if we miss the rain on Saturday. Three good days of weather should do it.

Tried to copy the tee time list but I'm on my phone and can't figure it out. I'm in for the middle tee time with Joe. I may be hung over and may get drunk, belligerent and obtuse. Sorry Joe and thanks for the invite.

Went to brookledge a day before you guys since I can't make it tomorrow and golfnow had it for cheap. Literally the most crowded course I've ever seen. I have played 2 holes in 50 minutes and there is a two group wait on 3 tee. I might not get this round in before it gets dark. /rant

What happened to all the other names we had a week or two ago? I've been so busy the last couple days, I haven't really had a chance to keep up. I'm thinking I might have to call and cancel the last tee time, as of now we have 4 definites and 2 possibles.

$30 isn't too bad on a weekend. I've noticed that their prices listed on the website are rarely what I pay there, not sure if they just don't do a good job of updating the rates on the site. I played yesterday through golfnow for $13 at 1:25. It was pretty busy there for a Thursday, I was surprised. But, it wasn't ridiculous- I was off the course and home before 5:45, so not terribly slow. Number 3 is always going to bottleneck, since everyone seems to want to wait for the green to clear and take a run at the green... then go look for their ball in the woods. I'm not so sure if 8 minute tee times are the best idea when the tee sheet is filling up, especially on a weekend. But, I'm sure everywhere is going to be busy with the first break in the weather after the winter we had.

Oh, and it was in great shape yesterday, as well. Greens were rolling great, and not many soft/ damp spots on the course. Carts were out with 90* rule. Drives were bouncing and rolling out, grass was green and pretty much in mid-spring shape.

I thought 30 was pretty reasonable called twice to verify because I was sure they had to be wrong the first time they told me.
