I found his positive outlook on the day and the upcoming weekend to be admirable. I found it less appealing when asked to describe his wedge shot his was response was that "no one would understand it". I'm no where near the wedge guru Phil is, sure, but what a worthless comment that just plays into his FIGJAMness. That's all.

I felt the same way when I heard that. I've really been liking him better lately but the condescending tone left me a little cold. Almost as if no one would understand it and no one else could hit it or even try it.

I think he felt it intuitively and took a gamble. It shouldn't have worked.
I don't have the ego to be offended. If he described it to me (unlike his shot off the sidewalk) I would still never be able to pull it off.

He hit a Phlopckelson. You take a full swing, steep, bury the bounce, yet flop shot. Unheard of.
