Updates on TaylorMade's TP Line Irons/Woods Revival? (merged)

There was a lot of speculation a few weeks ago...anyone heard any more info???

I heard a rumors of a new blade and a 420cc TP SLDR driver but its all speculation right now.

the initial rumors had me break out my old TP pouch from storage- now holding my tees, markers and wristwear. hoping the next TMaG blades are forged and have a big-a** TP on em also!

its actually a US-available product as far as I know- I bought a xFT wedge head from a small golf shop a couple years ago (in southern CA) and it came with the pouch. I've never seen it again anywhere else however.. so holding on to it!

You must have gotten a "tour issued" pouch because I have never seen that available in any retail store before. Very cool find!

Forged micro cavity or blade (blade please?)
Forged wedges--hard to beat Nike offerings in wedges imho, but they should still have a forged wedge.

Well I agree with you, except the part about the badges. I think just some nice subtle stamping would work better. You know, something kind of like this:

aesthetically I've never been a huge fan of these actually. the vent looking parts on the back dont catch my eye. by "clean", I mean I hope they take a page out of mizunos play book and keep it simple and classy looking, with a small TP badge. that would be ideal, to me at least.

I heard the exact opposite. True forged MB with the TP logo on it.

I am one of the biggest collectors of TP logo stuff...I would really love for this to happen but even when I went to the Kingdom a few weeks back they were not fully forthcoming but one of the reps said 3 new irons but no true forged blade. Maybe a TP line will be in the future, I dont kno but not for the next club cycle as told by my guys. I had to beg my TM rep for TP logo sweaters which I finally got a few and only have them dry cleaned and want more. So I as do many others want a TP line especially branded with its logo.

My contact said a new TP blade spring of 2014. Until I see pics and get details I will be doubtful myself.

I don't see how they cannot have a forged head of some kind. Would be about 2 years since the last. Only irons last cycle were the rocketbladez. Non forged.

I only have 2 TM clubs in the bag (Tour issue Superdeep and the RBZ Stage 2 Tour HL), but those offerings could turn me into a TM fanboy, and I am a fanboy of nothing.

One cool thing that I know would never happen is for a big OEM like TM to release a classic muscle back blade that most believe are "too hard to hit" (how did all of those golfers do it with Wilson bulletbacks, Macgregor VIPs, Powerbilt Scotch blades, etc?).

It could be a battle of who has the smallest blade, sort of like in Zoolander, but not a cellphone.
