I have just recieved my mod 30 in the last 24 hours.

I think the "soft feel" has as much to do with the grip as anything. Switched out to a Winnlite jumbo (about as firm a grip as I've ever used) and it feels very similar to my Mc01w with the same grip.

Aesthetically I cant decide on the rocker sole. Not so much for reason of the sole but for the top line. Thought he lines from address are all linear you can certainly see the curve of the top of the blade. Right now my discomfort has more to do with the fact that I need to get it bent about 4 degrees flat. Standing more upright than i normally do leaves this putter short of the ground so i wont be able to test much till i get that adjusted.

I will say from a presentation standpoint that these are much more pleasing to the eye in person. The red is more subdued than it appears in pics ( most cameras tend to over saturate reds).

Agreed. I think the metal has a more muted look than the pictures showed. Maybe that is why the red doesn't "pop" as much? Or I wonder if they tweaked it after hearing everyone's reaction

I'm a marketing guy and "direct" some photo shoots. I'm no photographer but ive done a few small projects for the company in house. That being said without perfect ambient lighting and turning off your flash on just about any point and shoot you are going to get funky color, contrast, and saturation...and so on... That doesn't even begin to cover the representation of whatever color is there by your computer screen. Often, like tvs and cameras they are set to impress not necessarily to represent reality.

If you look at nike's site their CGI representation of color for the insert is "more" accurate (depending on your computer screen of course :taunt: ). Its a deep candy apple color not a bright red. The more I look at it the more I like it. Something else not mentioned much that i've seen is the headcover. No use in function of putting of course. but its the nicest putter cover I've had my hands on. Matching candy apple red plush liner.

I've been putting all morning here ...Not surprising because of the likely better fit of the plumbers hosel this putter is outperforming my Mco1w even though i haven't flattened the lie yet. It also seems to require less effort to get to the target , most likely do to slightly better roll ( again better fit better roll)

This pic has best represents what the putter really looks like...at least on my laptop screen.

one of the best head covers that comes on a new putter to date as far as im concerned but the head cover is built so well it draws your eyes off the putter. nike has to justify the cost somehow.

I feel out of love with my GoLo S a few rounds ago and been using a borrowed Method 001 and do like the way it rolls the ball.

Has anyone moved from a 001 to the Mod 30 or done a back to back? How similar are they?

Edit - found this

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/934116-nike-method-001-vs-method-mod-30/

Just reaslised the mod has a sight line, 001 doesn't

Does anyone have the method mod 00 and a golo? I am trying to see the actual size of the mod 00 in comparison to a golo and every golf store I've been to doesn't have it.

I gotta tell yall I have been gaming the mod 90 for a couple months on and off now and can't find anything I like better. The first thing I did was change the grip to a gripmaster red leather midsized and wow does it give a premium look and feel to the already nice club. I have owned upwards of 100 putters and currently own a dozen. All blade putters except for one experiment I'm messing with. And it's feel is as good if not better than any of my others. It's an incredibly soft feel which I like a lot. I know feel is subjective but it just seems like I can push the all straight on my line. I love the new take on the classic bullseye. I looks good St address and is very easy to line up for me. I am not surprised that I like the putter, but am surprised at how much I like it. It has put some serious players on the bench including scottys, bettis, pings, complete customs and more. You should really give the mod series a roll if you get a chance. I can't imagine you not being impressed. Roll em well.....

I think I'm going to have to sell my beloved Machine long neck putter....

That Mod 00 looks awesome. I love the Nike tech on most of the slower greens I play and I love the method tech! What a great combo!

Now if only I could get Russel Henley's putter. That would be absolutely perfect for me.
