I really wish Nike the most success with this new line.

I'll definitively pass on the mod (as I did with the core) with the hope that someday the Rory/Tai 006 ( I definitively prefer Tai's with the sight dot) will be available to the rest of us .

I saw sooooo many posts saying the same about the 006 proto that maybe it would be a good idea to make a waiting list (poll style?) of all of us that really want to have this putter... anyway I'll keep dreaming.

Have a great game.

Totally agree -- doesn't look that great (although i will give Nike points for looking different). It is in line with their red fairway woods which look terrible.

NIKE PLEASE GET A BETTER DESIGNER for aesthetics!

Eye of beholder. I love the red on the Covert line. And the Mods look pretty good in person.

hehe true... I guess I will have to check it out in person.

I was very skeptical of the Mod series when I first saw pics. I haven't seen the 00 yet, but the other three look way better in person. Even the 90 looks better than in pics (and I've never been a big Bullseye fan).

Sorry I know its in this thread somewhere, what is the release date?
Are weights interchangeable ? Can I order it with heavier weighting?
I had the ltd oven model that came out before the offical release. Came in a cool
Wooden box and it was numbered with the Oven stamp. I'm sure there a few floating around.
Anyways it was a great putter but it was way to light weight and I had it covered with
lead tape. I would love the high toed blade at 390 grams but could live with 380 and a few pieces of tape.

I've heard both 11/1 and 11/15 as the release date. So you're pretty good either way.

As to weight, 34 and 35 come the same, 33 is a heavier model.

This is what was listed on the release on Golfwrx equipment page:

Each model is 100 percent milled from a block of a 303 stainless steel and has a “silver satin chrome” finish. Their mill marks are easily seen on the top of the putters, including the arced top lines, which Franklin said required a special milling process in order to create straight lines on the curved surface.

The Mod line will supplement Nike’s current line of putters, adding more models to their already wide selection of Method, Method Core Weighted and Midnight Method putters.

Each model is available in lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches. With the exception of the Mod-00, the 33- and 34-inch models come stock with a 360-gram head and the 35-inch models have a head weight of 345 grams. The Mod 00 has a head weight that is 5 grams heavier, 365 grams in the 33- and 34-inch models and 365 grams in the 35-inch model.

Each Mod putter has two weight ports, which are not removable, but can be customized to make the putter head heavier or lighter through Nike’s custom department.

The putters will be available on Nov. 1 and will have an MSRP of $299.

Not sure How much the weight can be adjusted, or what the cost would be. But even if 365 is the cap that would still be an awesome improvement. Now I just need to find a way to paint fill over top the Red on the rear section and find a silver color that would match the satin finish... Paying $300 for a putter I have to re-paint... hhhmmmmm

A little disappointed, but looks like the above info is wrong. Spoke with Nike and below is the revised info:

"The weights in the heads are not adjustable, nor are they customizable. In the MOD 60, the 33" length has a head weight of 360 grams, and the 34"/35" lengths have a head weight of 345 grams. You can order one custom if you would like the heavier club head on a longer shaft, or vice versa. But, the weights in the sole of the putter are not removable.

So unless you're on tour or win a trip, looks like its no dice.

But on the up side a least you can get a 360g head... Saw some other photos too and it looks to be very quality finish. hmmmm

Anyone know if these are the same sized grooves as the original Method? I would love to see a slightly less hot groove.

No dice. Called them(Canada office) they said Nike will not ship a club that is out of their recommend spec (360g head on 34" shaft)(sounded like a stock answer they give when not sure). Disappointed, Especially considering the price point. Kinda sucks that I would have to buy the heavier head 33" model and stick an extension in. Kinda defeats the purpose of getting the heavier head.

Hold the phone!... Called the US office and they said the dealer can order that as a custom option. Didn't have info on pricing but said it should be the standard retail price and no up charge if you get a stock Nike grip put on (Nike method tour traditional red :)).

There's still hope... even though I might have to go stateside to order/buy.

Anyone have any connects with a dealer/rep that could help me out?

Don't understand? Can you order custom headcovers? Link?

I just meant that you can order the hc's without having to get the putter.

I've always hated the MM 006 hc. It didn't stay in and ripped pretty quickly. And my Oven Proto 11 has a Method Concept cover which doesn't fit the greatest.

Some of us in the thread had talked about getting Mod hc's for other Nike models.
