Best Golf Store and/or fitter in Houston????

Does anyone know of a golf store and/or club fitter in the Houston area that is extremely knowledgable when it comes to dialing in the clubs I currently play with and possibly having a wide array of different shafts to test out?

 

I have been to various Golfsmith, GolfGalaxy and Discount Golf Stores in the Houston area. All are very nice and the employees seem to be fairly knowledgable but their selections seem limited. Maybe I haven't been asking the right questions when I go in but I usually leave the stores without having much answers.

 

I guess what I'm really looking for is a golf shop where I can explore more replacement shaft options for my driver and irons. The only replacement shaft I have is in my Driver (Grafalloy ProLaunch Red Stiff) but that was just picked out of a catalog from golf galaxy after only a handful of questions from the golf tech. It made an improvement over the stock shaft but I still feel like I'm leaving some strokes on the table by not exploring other options that may be better suited for my game.

I usually wait for a Demo Day and get all my questions answered. There is one on Oct 26th at Swanson Golf Center.
They will have all the manufactors.

But houston is very limited. If you want a fitting area for PING try Massengale Golf in Spring.
Titleist would go to jim phenicie golf.

Others to check out are Swanson Golf Center in North Houston and Woodlands Golf Course.
Both have great fitting area with trackman on grass.

Yeah I'm for sure planning on attending this event! Hopefully I can try out a wide range of options there. I'm really looking forward to trying the new Titleist 714 AP2 Irons.

just depends on if you are brand specific ... ping go to massengale at augusta pines, taylormade go to the taylormade performance lab at redstone..... i heard swanson golf has alot of head/shafts combos and the place in katy ive heard is good... titleist i would go to jim phenice at royal oaks country club...

Might be worth a check. If I lived in Houston, I would definitely give him a visit.
