What are the best Mizuno irons ever?

I'd say the MP33 hands down. I'm also a huge fan of the 59s. Just scooped up a brand new set with KBS Tour 130x for $400

Of course that would be my current gamers TP 19's they are the irons Faldo helped grind design and he played for most his major wins

I was under the impression it was the mp 9 he won most majors with .

In my experience, the MP-30's were amazing. Then picked up a set of 59's and thought those were just as solid. Still have the 30's just collecting dust but man they have an amazing design and look. Kind of a precursor to MP-66 and Cleveland 588cb's.

Sadly for the little blade-lover in me, the Mizuno irons that have worked best for me have been the JPX 800 HD. I broke 80 a few times with those fat bottomed suckers and it's hard for me to walk away from that kind of success but I've just got to give a fair shake to the stuff that I bought and didn't truly game enough to give myself a definitive answer. Besides, even if it doesn't become a permanent thing, I'll be able to yakk more with the blaidoids on Bigmean's thread. They are super gearhead geeks and they are super gearhead geeking out! There's no reason we can't all get along.

Likewise , me end up with jpx 800 hd ... going 4 years now

MP64s. The wedge is a bit funky looking, but overall look, feel and playability is nearly unmatched.

Like others have said, I've never met a set of Mizzy irons I didn't like. I've played the 32's, 69's and 63's in the past and I loved them all. My favorite is the Mp-25's I currently play. They're big for Mizzy MP sticks and not quite as soft (due to the boron), but I really like them so far. I've only purchased them recently and played them through 18 holes and 4 large buckets (range rat), but the boron seems to make them more resistant to scars that are easily imparted to their softer brethren. I can also work the ball just as easily as with the others, with some forgiveness to boot. Once I got over the somewhat thick topline, I was in love for sure.

Played 60's for the last 5 or so seasons, and they're just about the perfect iron in my opinion. Great shape, good forgiveness, incredible feel, and awesome launch. I'm currently buying a set of 33's off of a buddy, and when they're flushed...good lord! They definitely have the sweetest feel I've ever experienced, but when your swing isn't quite blade ready, the 60's are hard to top!

I am enjoying this thread. I love the look and feel of Mizuno irons. Am eyeing the MP 4 lately. I think the short irons in that set are better than their counterparts in the MP 5.

But I have only gamed three sets of Mizunos. Most time spent with the JPX 850 (harsh, clicky, did not like) and the MP 59 (a great club, in my opinion.) People knock the 59 for its tungsten insert, but I love the feel of this iron and its powerful trajectory. Have mine with a PX Rifle 5.5 and they are super accurate. Compact and modest offset. I like it better than the similar MP 15.

I also had a used set of MP 54s that I bought at the same time as the 59. The 54 is nice but launched too high and I found the 59 performed better for me.

Of the others listed, the 69s have a great look that I like a bit more than the 33, but it's close. I tend to like the musclebacks more than the cavity backs (of the CB heads, the MP 66 and 64 caught my eye.) I think the 14 and 32 would be fun to own. I have to think practicing witn irons like these can only sharpen one's swing. And the 67 may have that silly 'cut muscle' on it, but I like the look of that club.

Next Mizunos I get would be a used set of one of the musclebacks, probably MP 4 or 69. I am gaming Wilson Staff FG Tour V6, which are beauties, so I am good with a cavity back set.

my friend who uses mp-14 swears by them, but I always loved the muscle cuts by mizuno. Basically any club with the muscle cut was my favorite.

The MP-57 were the first forged iron I ever owned and they'll always have a special place in my heart.

Seconded. I will always look back to this iron's playability/feel as the one that really made me fall in love with golf, and hitting that perfect shot.

Had a set of T-Zoids, Pro II. Played them for about 10 years until age caught up with my swing speed and needed softer shafts.
