They are very nice irons if you are a good iron player. I'm a good player off the tee and around the green but solid, consistent contact with irons is not my forte. I will be going back to a more forgiving iron next season.

I love mine. I have only had mine since may and my only regret is not buying them long ago. Very workable, easy to change trajectory, forgiving and the long irons are ridiculous compared to others. I was a long time blade guy that liked thin top lobes and no offset until I got used to watching these fly perfect on mis-hits. Mine are not coming out for a while.

Absolute no brainer.... sick forgiveness especially on toe shots absolutely love em kicked out my mp 62+mp 69
my only complaint is I played out of a few fwy bunkers down in myrtle beach recently and noticed my 6 iron has a few dings on the sole
any quick fixes to this or should I send it back to ping during the off season...
oh did I mention they are awesome??? :superman:

A little story about my experience with the i20. As you can see I have S56's in the bag. I was at range at my club and another lefty was there that I know and he was having an awful time hitting his brand new i20's. I ask to try his irons. Wow, was I shocked how solid they were. Very forgiving and great trajectory. My typical shot is a draw and the shots I hit were curving gently to the right, which was just about perfect. Then I looked at the color code and saw it was "white". I am a white color code. The guy whose club I was using for sure on the other side of the black color code in the red (flatter). He took him to the pro at our club who immediately bent them and he couldn't have been happier. Every time he sees me he thanks me for picking up on it. They are IMO very solid irons.

Love mine, they're firmly in the back for 2014, and maybe 2015 as well. I had them earlier this year with C-tapers in them. After a wrist injury I was advised to try graphite shafts. Ordered a set with PX graphite shafts and haven't looked back.

They are that good. They look good, feel pretty good for a cast club, and have a great sole grind.
I still prefer a forged iron and am back to my old standby A4 forged for a bit. I also picked up some CB3's that will be getting CTaper Lites installed this spring.
( I'm really looking forward to these)
I don't think I'll be selling the i20s unless I have epiphany with one of the other sets. Lol.

Right now my i20's feel like the coach that was just given a vote of confidence from the teams GM but, the GM has just interviewed the FG M3's and the Apex's.

I thought the I20s would be the perfect iron for me, but actually got better results with the S56. The I20s are now sitting in my back up bag...

Just picked up a used set today; got a deal I couldn't pass up--$350 for 5-Gap with stock stiff CFS shafts.  Very nice irons.  I plan on buying MP54s or 714 ap2s but thought these would be great for the soggy off season conditions we get in my area.  Super solid.  Very forgiving. My biggest worry is that these will be so good I will never use the other set!

Yes, Brest irons. I played them in 2012. I only switched to go through the fitting process. I would have no issues going back.

Not to sound like a jerk, but a thread like this should say "YES." and nothing more. Especially on a site like this, equipment doesn't get the hype that the I20s got for no reason.

Looks like a good news for your wallet.

I'm happy that my S56 turns out to be outstanding because I wanted the i20 so bad.

Picked up a set in the middle of the 2012 season and instantly fell in lust/love. Had been playing Titleist 710 MB's and Ping S56's. The I20's finished the season as my gamers and the other sets collected dust.

Fast forward to the beginning of the 2013 season. Ended up buying a set of 2nd generation Anser's and sold everything else including the I20's. Just like a good WRXer can't leave well enough alone :)

I regretted selling the I20's almost immediately. I ended up rebuilding the Anser's. new shafts (C-Taper S plus), spine aligned, swing weighted, new grips. Perfection! The Anser's are really a great iron set once dialled in. This would have been early June. By late June, I started looking at the buy and sell and eBay just to see what the prices were.

By July, I had put in a few offers and was confident that I would end the season with my Anser's and keep hoping the S 55's would be announced. In true WRX fashion, I found a set of I20's in August with less than 3 rounds on them and couldn't resist.

The Anser's have been in my rec room ever since.

So yes the I20's are that good.

At least until my S55's show up next week. Since winter is upon us, the jury will probably be out until spring. Time to sell the Anser's. This time I will be keeping the I20's no matter how they fare against the S55's.

Honestly, I never got along with my I20s. It may have had something to do with the CFS shafts, or the sole grinds, because I hit big hooks with these irons. They were fit properly and all, but just did not work for me. I'm also wondering if I had ordered a set with the tour grind on the trailing edge, if that would have helped. Oddly enough, having played forged my whole life, these felt fine to me being a cast club. I may give the S55s a chance but my CMBs are pretty safe for now.

They really are! Best investment ive made for my game ever. First set of fitted irons, might be my last. They can do it all my man.

So easy to hit, GI easy but with players looks. The CFS shafts are as smooth as butter, really get tge ball up in the air with out ballooning. I slapped two strips of lead tape on the weight in the cavity. Gained another 3-5yds carry with more launch and still no issues into the wind either.

Do yourself a favor and try them!

Did it again this am. 170 yd uphill par 3. Cut a easy 6 in without no worries. 10 ft for bird and nailed it. These irons are superb
So smooth when u nut them and sooooooo forgiving when u don't. They r that good.... I'm so pissed at self for not getting them when they first came out but was in lust with my mp-69's I couldn't convince myself they would be better.
Duh!!!!!!

I traded for a new set of these at Golfsmith today. Ran out and played 18 after I got them in 48 degree weather. GIRs have been my issue with my MP32s. Maybe get 6 a round if I'm lucky. First 9 out today I hit 5 greens! Think I hit 3 more on the back and shot an 80. I got CFS regs coming from Nippon 1150 stiffs. These are a lot easier to hit and the regs gave me no problems. Very good flight, straight, and forgiving. And coming from player's irons, I can live with the look at address. Try them!
