Callaway Big Bertha

With all the hype going on over this driver it's got me going crazy.

1. First pictures of that prototype driver with the sliding weight channel. (The one with unbadged apex pro and a taped apex iron)
Now I can only assume this is One of the now TWO???

2. I can only draw a conclusion that you either Know it's going to be named Big Bertha, or you're speaking to how it will be revolutionary as the Big Berthas were??
Which are both a plus.

3. Phil talking about how you can raise and lower CG!!
I can only picture an internal weight that can be raised and lowered with the standard torque wrench? Did you notice the adjustibilty Phil is mentioning?

I am usually not one to put any importance on branding but a Big Bertha rebirth would be very cool. It has to deliver though, especially if it has that iconic name. My guess is that Cally knows they have a real winner, too risky to to use this name otherwise.

Seems like Callaway is going to be tough to beat come 2014, with the newest edition coming.... the"Driver B" and fairway woods X Hot 2, plus the Apex line in the irons... sure is going to be a great year ahead of us all. Can't wait to see what all this looks like. But to me it almost sounds like the weight instead of running from side to side appears to possibly be running from front to back in the center of the bottom sole. That would make the spin changes and COG changes. Then just use the adjustable hosel for loft and lie changes? that's my guess.

Interesting. Obviously, I am very interested to see what this hype is about. Let's hope Cally delivers on the hype unlike a certain other large OEM who led some to believe we were getting forged irons with certain badges.

You may be correct although the adjustment could also be moving along the center back of the club in a more vertical (curved) fashion. Could also be two adjustments, one as you described combined with another more typical plane to vary weight from left to right.

New Fubuki's coming out I believe, one Tour version and another non-Tour version or something like that. I think there was an article somewhere from PGATour.com or something like that regarding the two new Fubuki's coming out. I believe those are going to be the stock shafts.

The spy pics posted here also had a weight screw high near the heel, so it could be part of the weight movement story.

Those spy pics of the driver with the sliding weight...I don't think that's the same driver. I think this Bertha driver is something completely different.
