Has anyone gamed those Anser wedges? They look sweet, but afraid a forged wedge would have a pretty short life-span.
I used the Anser wedges for the a few months in the beginning of the golf season laster year. They were the best wedges I have ever hit. They had great feel, forgivness, and etc. However, even with the DG Spinner Shaft I could not get them to spin enough for me. I am not one who thinks it is the arrow and not the indian but all my chips would release out from all yardages. So, after spending 160 on the wedges i traded them in for the Gorges and I saw results the first day I took them on the course...but they are clicky feeling but they produce. I guess the wedges were not for me.

I reccommend going to demo and trying them both. I went with the Ansers from a demo but like most, on the course it was alot different. Good luck,

Not the most ringing endorsement. I guess I'll stick with Vokeys. I've switched between Ping and Titleist irons over the years, but have never been able to drop the Vokey wedges.

Well I am a straight shooter but everyone's swing is different so you might as well go hit the Anser wedges. They feel great and who knows your swing might produce better results than mine. I myself didn't find Vokeys to be as good as eveyone raves about but if you have non conforming groove wedges then there is no need to switch to conforming ones until 2025

i25 hybrid looks fantastic!
It is wicked good.

I'm pumped that they have a 26* i25 hybrid. However, I keep telling myself, not to look at these as my i20's and G25 hybrids are unbelievably good to me.

I'm gaming Anser wedges in 52.12 and 58.10 with DG Spinner shafts, I can assure you they'll last longer than my ho attention span. If they do wear out I'll have gotten my money's worth.

I have not had this problem but in the past would keep worn down vokeys cause the new ones spun too much for my taste. I don't want my 58deg spinning back 15 feet on full shots. Do you normally use low bounce wedges? All the Ansers are 10deg bounce plus which I like in Louisiana but could cause problems in dry or cold areas.

I tried the Anser wedges but the sole grind was not right for my chipping and pitching style; when I'd lay them open 35 degrees the sole would snag rather than glide. For someone who doesn't care to open the face as much, I'm sure they'd be fine.

I recently got new Tour Gorge wedges to replace my iWedges. They definitely spin more, but they have a firm, more click feel that I'm not in love with. My iwedges are softer feeling.

So, the iWedges (tour grind) are back in the bag. Honestly, I sincerely wish Ping would come out with an updated version of the iWedge with the new softer CTP used in the S55s. The iWedge sole design (with my preferred grind) simply can't be beat. The sole design is incredibly versatile for all kinds of lies and conditions.

Is someone from Ping reading this thread? Hope so! ;)

I stopped by the ping booth on Thursday at the show.

I tried out the Rapture Driving Iron and the i25 driver.

I started with the Rapture Di, was trying to decide if I should have spent the extra 100 dollars on the Ping driving iron over the MP-H4. If the trackman was calibrated correctly indoors.. I may not have made the right choice because I was DESTROYING the rapture iron. I hit 4 or 5 and asked the tech how those shots went on the trackman (they were using ipad minis so kind of small). He was shocked with how high I was getting the thing in the air. My distance was 245-258 and they were all tight baby draws down the middle... it was insane.

Then I tried out the i25 driver in 8.5 and x-flex. (They made me do the little PING swingbyte fitting thing first which told me exactly the same thing, don't get me wrong it is pretty cool) I ended up trying this out in the contest booth .. I was the first player and you get points based on distance and how close to the center line the drives land. I hit my first two balls an average of 320 and just a foot or two left of center! Then the last ball I hit near the hosel and figured that was going to spray way right from the feeling. But I watched the screen and it ended up being a low cut that came back around landing about 280 down the center. The guy looked at me and said "That.. is going to be tough to beat! That would have taken 3rd place in the PGA member only tournament for 5000$ they did on wednesday."

Not sure if my score held up or not, when I left on Thursday I was still in first place which is supposed to win a new i25! or 2nd place a hybrid or 3rd a putter. Hoping to hear from them soon ! :superman2:

I was impressed for sure.

Bag is looking to be mostly Piing this year. Why is it that some stores do not have the Rapture DI yet? I have seen people with them on the board and even selling them, but some online stores dont even have them yet.
I couldnt find them at my local Golfsmith, Golf Galaxy and Edwin Watts.
Same :(

I saw them on tgw but I would like to hit it first before I buy.
well, that is downright silly....you can always sell them for half price if you don't like them....what would the golf industry do if everybody waited until they found out if a club would really help them or not? that sounds like russia to me. this isn't russia is it?
