Anyone know if the cruiser weights will fit in all of the other versions? Would love to have two 20g weights in the regular #7 milled
These are a completely different construction and there isn't enough room in the weight pocket of the MX Milled to go heavier.

I really wonder how much of a difference the weights make in the Tank Cruiser. Probably one of those things you just have to take out on the practice green and tinker with.
Quite a big difference actually. We initially thought about only having two options to help control costs and to simplify it, but the differences were big enough that we thought we had to do three head and three counter weights. This is a tinkerer's dream.

Couple quick questions, hope someone has the info:

1. Any idea on head weight or range for Tank 330m? (ie 350g-370g with diff weights)
2. Does anyone know which grip weights come with it (looks like there's a 15g in there, is there another included?)
3. Can you get it with black shaft?
4. Is it the same insert as the white Hot Pro?
5. Any pics of the head cover for the tank 330m?
6. When can you get this putter?

Cheers

Nevermind, found the link.

Here is the post from that thread:

Tank Cruiser
At retail: April 1
Models: #1 (wide shape w crank hosel, I saw someone got mad that's called it a crank hosel aka plumber, aka Anser, aka Newport, but that's what Odyssey has been calling it for 20+ years, so I'm going to be consistent), #7, 330 mallet, V-Line...#1 and #7 available in LH
Head weight is stock 375 and adjustable to 365 and 385
Stock counterbalance weight is 15 grams and adjusts down to 5 or up to 30 grams
Stock grip and only grip offering is a new Odyssey/Superstroke collaboration that has a hole in the back end of it so you can access the weight. It'll be the only grip available although if you wanted a different grip you could install one and cut a hole in the back end if desired. The grip is 110 grams.
The weight kit with all the weights comes with it.
White Hot Pro insert (same as in Versa and original Tank)
Price : $250

Tank Cruiser was born out of feedback from the PGA Tour. Everyone liked a slightly different head and counterbalance weight when we brought the original Tank out. The original Tank (at 400ga and with set CB weighting) was extremely well excepted in Asia, Europe (#1 model in play the Open this past year) and on the LPGA. Some of the PGA guys thought it was a little too heavy for the speed of the greens that they play on day in, day out. Once you dial in your head feel and then your counterbalance feel, I can almost guarantee you'll improve your path and tempo consistency. That's really what this putter is all about.

Still no word on black shaft or headcover... but I think I will get one regardless. Seems like a great value for the price.

Thanks Odyssey! Congrats on the great line up for 2014!
I think the tank model is the only line they will not offer black shafts.
Correct, at this point. The Tank shafts are special heavier shafts and we haven't gotten around to those ones yet. You'll be able to get the black shaft in any of our other models (except White Ice 2.0). Online ordering capabilities will be up in a couple weeks. Talked to our web team this morning and they were having some difficulties adding it.

This might be the best line of putters overall put out by a company in a few years IMO.
It's going to cost me some money.

Odyssey is going to leave everyone in the dust his year without a doubt!
I haven't seen anything that resembles an even remotely competitive line up from a competitor.

Cruiser 1 in my future for sure and I'm thinking I need to try a 9 style putter before I drop the coin on one of the new models as well.

It's shocking what a different perspective, attitude and drive can do for a company. Callaway included.

That one really caught my eye as well, really like the shape of it. I also like the #1 as it seems wide enough to appeal to me. For whatever reason, I really like the #1W style putters, but I prefer something with a smoother neck in it.

I also like how they went with the line on the #7 instead of the 3 dots.

Is it me or does it look like the WH insert takes up A LOT more space on the face than previously? Almost the entire face is insert, I didn't think they were that big before.

I have been watching a youtubevid with Greg Sabella over and over this morning, just to get a decent look of what the MXM-V looks like in a full shot where you can see the whole putter. I have never liked any #7s because they felt too light and looked a bit dull. But the MXM-V #7 looks so amazing I'm not sure I can even fathom it. The headshape sure is proven to work for alot of players of all skills, and I sure am going to try it out when it comes out over here to try and make it work for me ;). Otherwise I'll just keep pondering on getting the MXM-V #1, or the MXM 330M.. or one of the Tank Cruisers.... or just keep alternating between the 2 putters I already have, ( most likely not the last alternative :) )

Tank Cruiser 1 for me! Or the V-Line Cruiser.

Or maybe something else, I'm thinking maybe a 9HT just because.

I'll make your decision easy, order all of them and we can have a "demo day" at the club's putting green. :pimp:
