Ogio Decibel ?

Did it replace the Vaporlite ?

Apparently this is a new bag from Ogio for 2010...looks like it replaces the Vaporlite. Anyone have one?

I'm considering buying this or an Ozone to replace my Titleist (Sun Mountain).

Questions:

1. Can the apparel pouch hold a pair of golf shoes? (The Ozone can, but barely.)

2. Lack of integrated handle on the top of the bag vs. Ozone with the handle. Is this a deal killer for any of you?

3. Other comments / observations ?

I also noticed this change tonight. I can comment on your questions as I've owned a vaporlite and have an Ozone as well. I seen the Decibel in the store the other day but for whatever reason, did not give it a close look. I would have if I had known this change was happening as I want to know if the legs actually fold up on this bag as they were not good on the Vaporlite.

I have an Ozone and really love it. It's got lots of pockets for storage, is light weight and that little handle on the top for loading or unloading the bag off your shoulders is awesome. Best feature I've found. I like the Sun Mountain handle too but this one is more over the top of the bag and makes it easier to place in my experience. I can't comment on the storage of the Decibel for your shoes but I'll be giving it a second look too. I picked up a Ogio Kingpin cart bag as an exchange for my Vaporlite. My Vaporlite legs sucked and wouldn't fold up without help. I had the Ozone and thought I'd take a look at a cart bag. Not sure now if I'll ever use it as I walk and carry all the time. I think now I might trade it back in for the Decibel in the Black/Apple color, it looks awesome in person.

I'll add more if I go to the store and have a closer look at the Decibel. If anyone has any comments on the Kingpin, let me know.

Checked the Decibel out today in Golftown. Hmmm, still not impressed with the legs. I'd have thought if they were replacing the Vaporlite with this bag, maybe they would have strengthened the system for retracting the legs as that was most people's concern with the Vaporlite. I'm glad I went with the Ozone bag, better legs and more pockets and the addition of the lift handle on top of the bag. I'm happy with my choice, the Decibel has some nice new colors with the apple green/black, looks real nice, but stand mechanics are still lacking in my opinion.

Thank you for your thorough comments, they will factor greatly in my decision.

I like the Vaporlite (Decibel) because it's so compact and easy to manipulate. But I also like the handle on the Ozone, and I feel that if you're going to take your bag off your shoulder 70-100 times per round it would be handy to use it. Apparently you feel the same way.

I hope that helped you a bit in your decision. Another thing that I forgot to mention is also the 5 pockets on the Vaporlite. The Decibel has 5 pockets too. This isn't a bad thing but I like to keep my gloves, pens, ball repair tools, etc in one pocket on the water bottle holder side. On the outside of that pocket is another pocket on the Ozone which I keep my tees in. I know it's picky but I didn't like having to put them all in the same pocket when I was using the Vaporlite. Just another bit of info for you. The lack of spring to close the legs really gets annoying on the Vaporlite/Decibel bag too.
