Well it looks like GB is getting serious. New unit (Platinum) now on the market and two new websites Canada & US. Just for info sake re GB I sent an email to GB indicating that the course I am playing here in Canada just opened this year and was not in their database. They responded in 24hrs and indicated that they would advise when the course would be mapped. All of the courses in Canada are mapped by walking the course! This I did not know?

One week later from my mapping request they gave me a date of July 14th for the mapper to be on site at our new course. On July 14th he showed up and walked the course. He indicated that they load new courses every Saturday and that ours would be available in the next two weeks. That is great service and it is nice to know that they now have representation here in Canada. Their CS has been excellent and the unit has performed flawlessly to date. The fact that they walk the course to map, no annual fees and a 20,000 course database make purchase a No Brain-er in my books. I have only heard of one small problem to date and that was the owner bought the unit, charged it and took it to the course. He was getting some eradicate readings. He took it home and realised he forgot to download the GB Course Mgmt software. He did this and then plugged in his unit to register. There were a number of updates that downloaded both for the unit and the software. He has not had a problem since. Guess it pays to read the manual?:good:

I like my golf buddy tour but I have been disappointed by their customer service. I was told when I bought mine that I would be able to download updates with my MAC. It has never happened and they just send out the same response to emails. It works well but I shouldn't have to go to a friends house to use his PC. They told me one thing and never followed through. They have software issues and their program doesn't work and I have heard the same from others on here. Like the golf buddy overall. I would think the new version is even better.

After checking there web site numerous times they finally updated there main website & there MAC software. However I still can't seem to get it to work. I like the GPS unit. It seems to be as accurate as my friends sky caddie, just don't understand the problem with getting a simple software upgrade.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
