I was involved with the weather services for a long time... the standard is NOAA- most of the other services get their source information from NOAA.

A great alternative is the Weather Underground- but again, even they get a lot of their source info from NOAA.

Sometimes the 3rd party weather providers have to provide a "value add" to their customers and they overanalyze the weather forecast- if they provided the same forecast as NOAA, why would you pay for their services? Sometimes I think they feel like they have to change the forecast, just for the sake of changing it.

Just my opinion.
