AJGA Preseason?

If you have not participated in any AJGA Open, Invitational, or All Star evens than you can play in one preseason event per year. Basically they are events aimed at players who have not played in any AJGA open events. The events are back filled with Juniors and Seniors and then Sophomores and so on. They used to be first come first serve but with the high demand they have changed it. Fields aren't as strong as the open events because all the players are newcomers.

so as a sophmore do u think i could get in? cuz i have nothing and i have an application in for the one at traditions but dont think that im going to get in

It depends, I am not sure how much demand there is at that site but you definitely have a chance. I would just try and earn as many stars as you possible can all of soph year so you can get in the tournaments you want your Jr. year. If you do get into Traditions and can play well that will go a long way. Good luck, nothing better than the AJGA for junior players...

Definitely a good post above describing the preseason, it is a much weaker field, from my past experiences, I am pretty sure there is not a high demand to play in them, because they are so early and many people have snow on the ground and are just not ready for a tourney. It seemed to me that everyone got into these events when I was in the AJGA... if you can make the trips to play in them then by all means do it, but make sure your game is ready... play in them to win.. Scores are usually not as low in these and a couple rounds around par would go a long way.

so if i wanted to play a ajga preason, all i have to do is sign up, and register for the tourament? what are the odds of not getting in(looking to play preason at new york one, i live in ontario and cant travel very far)

I'm playing the NY preseason one, and from ontario as well. There were over 100 kids that tried to register for 70 spots in the guys division. All you do is register and hope, but you have to do it before the deadline, which was a few weeks ago.
