College Scholarship

I'm in a Canadian High school right now, with a hanicap around 5, trying to get it down to around a 1-2 and I was just wondering where would be some realistic US colleges/universities to apply to where i would beable to get a good scholarship?

Where are you located? there is a guy in Peterborough that is an expert in this field, his son went to VCU with john rollins and he has helped to send a lot of guys from that area to schools in the states.

Just e-mail every coach you can and you will get responses, the key is to e-mail them with your tournament schedule and hopefully one of them will come up to watch. Kent States Coach is at all Major Ontario Events cause if you go to the website you will see that their team is mostly Canadian. Don't Just look at the big name schools, smaller schools that are D2 or D3 are just as good. if you want more info feel free to msg me

I'm originally from Ontario, but right now I'm living in Newfoundland, playing golf between April and October. Thanks alot for the info but i was just wondering if you know the guys name from Peterborough? Also the only problem I got is that there aren't many Newfoundland tournaments, but this year I will hopefully be playing in certain cjga tournaments throughout Ontario and Nova Scotia. The only other thing is that what is the difference in requirements needed between a D1 and D2, or a D2 and D3?

I don't believe D3 gives scholarships D1 & D2 do. I have a son going through this now for soccer. Email coach's with some profile information about awards or tournaments you've won. Include you and your parents contact information along with your upcoming schedule. Golf may be different from soccer but the coach can't call you until after your junior year in high school is complete. You can call them but they can't return the call unless you are a Senior. When you are a senior they can only call you once a week. No restrictions on emails.

Don't forget to keep up the grades. D1, D2 & D3 have different requirements. You also need to make sure you follow the academic guidelines the NCAA has for core classes required. Go to the NCAA Clearing House webpage to get started: https://web1.ncaa.org/eligibilitycenter/stu...ex_student.html
