Dual strap for C130S

Does anyone know if the Sun Mountain C130S bag can accomodate the Auto-Fit Dual Strap?

 

The C130S is a cross between a cart bag and stand bag, and it comes with a single shoulder strap because its purposed as a cart bag that has a stand for the range. Not for walking/packing it on course. But It seems it would be the perfect carry bag if you could get a dual strap on it.

 

My assumption is I can buy the bag, then order a dual strap. Unlike most cart bags, the C130S doesn't have a single connector directly above and below the single shoulder strap. So It looks like a dual shoulder strap would just simply fit on perfectly. But I'd hate to buy it and find out the idea doesnt work. Golfsmith wont let me take the strap off the hybrid bag and put it on the C130S to test.. lol

 

I asked Sun Mountain via their website a week or so ago, but no response.

I did the this with my SM Hybrid bag (C130 S is a re-branded Hybrid). It wasn't with the Auto-Fit straps, but rather the older EZ-Fit straps. They work just fine. The trouble was getting the straps. Theoretically, an authorized dealer should be able to order one directly from SM equipped with the double straps, but in my experience many shops aren't willing to put in the effort. In my specific case, I bought a prior year's model at a nice discount (2013 model purchased this March), and the shop ordered the straps separately, which I attached myself, so ordering the assembled bag direct from SM was not an option.

If you can find an authorized dealer that is willing to work with you, you should be able to make it happen. I agree completely that switching from a single strap to a double strap makes this bag the best and most versatile on the market...It works perfectly on a pushcart, has a cart-friendly bottom for riding carts, and isn't that bad too carry (heavier than most "carry" bags, but not unmanageable at all). Plenty of space, and I like the layout of the 14-way top much better than the Four5 layout. Good luck!

At sun mountian website, I zoomed in on the strap connection points of the C130S, and the other carry bags, and they are exactly the same. So its definitely feasible to just swap the strap out to a dual strap. game on!! getting it tomorrow.

Now I've got to figure out how I can get ahold of a Dual strap.. I'll try the local golf shops..

I read in another thread about the same question with the hybrid, that you can order straight from SM with dual straps. Or if you buy from a retailer you can't either contact SM and they will send you a dual strap, or have the retailer order you one

I’m wondering the same thing. Can I use a dual strap on my SunMountain C130S golf stand/carry bag? Advice appreciated!
