i wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so i just decided to post it in this one, since it is a training aid device. i don't know if anyone remembers or has ever had the mitsubishi gl-500 electric golf trainer, but i just bought one in almost new condition at a local swap meet, but it's missing the ac adaptor, and i was wondering if anybody knew whether it was a 9V or 12V adaptor. it looks like this

If it's not stamped on or near the power inlet you could try to contact the manufacture, if that doesn’t work you could I'd try to contact the e-bay seller to see if they will supply you with the correct information. As far as an adapter, you can go to Fry's or Best Buy off of Rose to get a universal AC adapter with numerous plug in's that should work.

thanks a lot, yeah i'll probably contact the seller, because this looks like a really fun little device that actually looks really functional. i'm setting up a net and mat in my backyard, but i didn't want to have to pay 300 or 400 bucks for one of those little radar things.

Yes it is....I'm curious to see just how accurate something like this can be. I'm sure it's just as accurate as the current small Doppler’s you can buy for personal use.

well, i dunno whats with the seller, but he hasn't answered my question yet, and when i search on the mitsubishi website, nothing comes up. i really wanna try this thing out, but i don't wanna put in the wrong voltage adaptor and possibly screw it up before i get a chance to try it.

just picked one up and it has an adapter ( i'm pretty sure its the original)... anyway its

all I think I'm missing is the instructions!

I have a Mitsubishi Electric Golf Trainer GL 500 and wondering if any one has the instructions booklet for it as I am missing same Perhaps a photocopy of it either would do I would be mutch obliged

Best bet is to use the voltage current spec and go to Radio Shack who can find the right tip and polarity adaptor that can do the job. They will even plug the one they believe is right and verify the unit works. If you know what they select for the tip type you do have the option of buying it anywhere but given they did the work and the savings elewhere will be minimal I would get it from them.The basic problem is the plug end of the power end that goes into the golf unit can be a number of diffeent sizes and potenially 2 different polarities.

I know your post on this topic is several months old but I am trying to obtain the instruction manual for this swing trainer and you offered to mail a copy to anyone that needed it. Is this still possible? Sorry but I can't help you with finding more stick on strips for the driver. Thank you...

My dad gave me the GL-500 trainer last fall.
There were only a few mag strips, so I went to Lowes and purchased magnetic strip in a roll.
I cut pieces in similar size and it works great.


Yesterday the trainer would not turn on after being plugged in overnight and my conclusion is that the power
adapter is bad (only half of the voltage rated).
I had a multi 5 VDC adapter, however the polarity is backwards.
I opened up the unit and pulled the plug that attaches to the power adapter jack and installed it reverse.
So far everything is working.


If someone could please send me a copy of the manual I would greatly appreciate it.

I recently (May 2021) bought a Mitsubishi swing trainer GL-500 at an estate sale. The manual and magnetic stick on strips were not included. This thread includes a recommended solution of purchasing a magnetic strip in a roll at Lowes that can be cut to size. This was first time I heard about the magnetic strips and I still need to know the correct size for a strip and where to stick it on the club. 

 

I followed the link Teddy Bear provided to tinypic.com to obtain a manual. Unfortunately tinypic.com ceased to exist in 2019.

So far I have not found any manual at the Mitsubishi web site or any other online site. If anyone still has a copy of the Mitsubishi swing trainer GL-500 manual, I would greatly appreciate obtaining a copy of it. I would reimburse if any expenses are incurred.
