695 CB's - Just ordered mine

Just had our rep in and put my order in for 695 CBs and a 9.5* 905R with V2 75. CB's are awesome....great compact look, feel great and produce a real nice flat boring trajectory. Can't wait to get either of them in.

I saw all the new stuff the other day and i was suprised to see the thicker top line on the 695 series. I mean I dont care about the topline but i figure a lot more picky guys out there that want a thin topline that these clubs are targetted towards. It does have an interesting design with the Z cavity that really interests me. I have been a huge fan of the cut muscle series of Mizuno. The 905R felt really solid and i was getting really good readings on the launch monitor, ball speed was up there, spin was okay. The club felt really good and to me it doesn't look like a 460 cc head. I was suprised to hear from our rep was suppose to spin more than the 905T because from me messing around in the net and with other customers the T had a lot of spin. The S was a little better. The 775 are very ugly to me, I wish Titliest would not offer a game improvement club, thats what cobra is there for. They had some huge offset in the long irons.

From a retail point of view, i really really hope the R will do better than the T & S. I think our inventory has grown since december because guys aren't liking the clubs. Now they are at 460 cc no one has any room to complain.

oh and the V2 75 shaft felt really good, I think that might be my next shaft.

I have been fortunate enough to hit all the new Titleist offerings and am truely impressed. I agree with the topline issue on the 695cb. But I had to remember that it was a cavity back and not a blade. Still I wish they rounded the toplines off a little more. I think the y could have given them the appearance that they were skinnier. Long irons are shorter heal to toe than anything I have seen in a while. The feel makes up for bot of these issues. Geat solft solid feel. Really solid feeling CB. Kwok bent a few sets and said the Endo forgongs made for a solt head. Very impressed.

The 905r? Gulp. The word that came to mind was hot. The face seemed hot. New for me to say that about Titleist driver, but this R deserves some props. Very exciting day demo'ing the R. Face looked forward than the Clevland and Taylor MAde drivers. Felt like I could more easily move the ball. I was amazed about the distance and straight shots I hit that day. Never wanted to give the club back. Head didnt look that deep or abnormally large.

I think it will be a big hit, as well as the 695cb's.

I agree about the thicker top line but they are still a sweet looking club nonetheless. The R is HOT.....felt and sounded better than the T or S. My rep said that alot of the guys who have hit have expressed a feeling that the face is hotter than before but they are still hitting it just about the same or maybe more. He said alot of this has to do with the sound change, from more of a thud on impact to a ping....almost like the Cobra drivers. Its a sweet club no matter what and I cant wait to get mine in.
