Zero G vs Hoofer C-1

Hi All-

 

Santa was nice enough to bring me a Zero G to replace my 10 year old Hoofer that has managed to get heavier and heavier in recent years. That said, the zero g is really nice (light, comfy straps, etc) but the leg mechanism is making me nervous, especially given all the member comments here about how this can be a hassle in a cart, etc.. Conversely, the PING leg mechanism is well known as awesome. My question is this-does the "better" leg mechanism of the C-1 warrant a look and possible exchange or should I just hang on to the Zero G?? Also, any general comments about either of these bags would be most appreciated.

Just got the C-1 this week. As a long time Ping bag user, I am so far very happy with the bag. much lighter than the other hoofers. straps are much better - bigger and more comfortable. Also much easier to adjust. legs seem to be very good to spring out and then also stay close to the bag when you carry it. this may sound crazy, there is a littler plastic part in the top of top section that when you set the bag down you put your hand there and makes it easy for the legs to come out and also move the bag around once the legs are out.

Water bottle sleeve is MUCH better!!! much bigger also easier to get a 20oz bottle in and out.

only drawback so far is a coulpe of the pockets on the big side are a little small.
