Ping Hoofer Vantage and Voyage question

How easy is it to get clubs in and out?

I have had Ping bags most of my life; a UGA hoofer for about 8 years that although I love it (still have it) It was very hard to get clubs in and out to the point that I eventually got a Ping Pioneer ( I never walk so I thought I would get a cart bag) a couple of years ago but I am already not happy with it due to the screwy putter pod (I HATE those things) being located right where the cart strap comes around making it useless and the sunglass pocket being too small for my sunglasses. The new Pioneer fixes these problems (even though it still has a putter pod-but better designed) but frankly they just don't look as sharp as my old Pioneer or Hoofer...... so I said all of that thinking I may try to find a Vantage, Voyage or maybe a C-1 as long as the club pulling problem is fixed.

My only other complaint about my old hoofer was that it would turn cockeyed while on the back of the cart but I may just have to live with that. I have also been looking at the Ogio Grom but there color schemes suck except for the camo so there ya' go.

Buy a 09 Grom. I think they are very similair to the 010 Groms just different colors. I have a 09 Hoofer and they are no problems on a cart or removing the clubs.

The cart strap was meant to go BEHIND the putter well on the Pioneer. Not through the handles and around the well. Put it on the cart and tuck it behind the well. The bag locks in perfect and it does not move an inch. I had to call Ping when I first got mine and the was told this nugget. You are right, the new Pioneer LC is Fugly. I keep coming back to my Pioneer and I even bought the new Latitiude V2. I'll be buyin gthe Sun Mountain Four 5 for everyday range use coming up. I am OVER not being able to get the clubs in and out of a stand bag.

Many people take issue with the 2 bag dividers not being sewn to the sides of the bags in the Vantage and Voyage and previous Hoofer models. The shafts tend to slide around the corners of the dividers and get tangled thus making it hard to both put clubs in and get them out. While this is not the easiest solution, I had the dividers in mine sewn to the sides and it has made all the difference in the world. I love Ping bags and would not use anything else but my Voyage. Don't let the "club tangling" problem persuade you from getting one. They are the best carry bags out there period.

I have a Vantage and Voyage. Vantage goes on the push cart and the Voyage is my carry bag. I haven't had any issues with clubs not going in the bag. It the club doesn't go in all the way, I just push it in the rest of the way once the bag is on my shoulders. I would like to sew the dividers to the sides of my Voyage also. Good fix.
