Opinions on Fi5 & Pi5

I currently play the 05 RAC TP irons and I like them but am always on the look out for new irons, especially if I consider something a little more forgiving in the long irons. I also play my irons much longer than standard so the fact that Wilson offers the ProForce graphite as a factory option is nice.

 

So, what are people's opinions of the Fi5 and Pi5? Does anyone have pictures of the Pi5 at address? How would they compare size wise and forgiveness wise to the 690.cb or TM RAC TP?

I play the pi5 irons the look of them at adress is just like a blade very little offset id probably say less offset than the TaylorMade tp's but i also think the top line on the pi5's is just a little chunkier than the tp's. The pi5's are great sticks. They play like a combo set even though they are cavity backs forgiveness in the long irons and nice workability on mid to short irons, i would forget about the fi5's only because i think there's got to be a reason Jesper, Padraig and nearly all other Wilson staffers are not using them maybe its a forgiveness thing but the pi5's are the ones to get just make sure you change the grip it aint all that good little thin and just didnt feel to clever to me.

I agree. The PI5 clubs look great at address and have a nice thin sole. They also power the ball on a nice penetrating trajectory, which is great. This is one set of clubs that I keep thinking about buying as a backup set, but I just ordered a combo set of Mizuno MP32 and MP60, so I guess it will have to wait!

 

I recommend anyone to demo them if you get the chance, as they really do look classy and perform exceptionally well for the better player.
