Richter Park Golf Course - Danbury, CT

Anyone play at Ritchter Park?

I would love to come up to play on weekends, but it seems nearly impossible for non resident to get a tee time.

If you have an extra spot, please let me know!

I'm not a great golfer but I'm fast!

Played it once and loved it. Been probably 6 years. Was on town for business staying on a hotel each week for about two months right in Danbury. Convinced the kid to give me the in town rate and had a blast. Next time I came around the guy's boss found out and freaked and said I had to pay visitor price which was insane for weekday twilight so I switched the rest of my weekday rounds to Ridgefield Golf Course who only charged me $25 to walk after 3pm for a quick 18 after work. Nice course as well, but Richter was really nice from what i recall.

Yeah, it's a great public course with a glimpse of Morefar on the other side of the water.

Residents get 9 day advance to book tee time but non residents get 7 day.

By the time I can book anything, there's nothing left but 5:10 pm when the course closes at 6 pm.

I would love to get out but not sure if I want to drive 2 hour round trip to play 50 mins.

Great course but they sure do bang you if your not a resident. The few times I played there last year was through a Golfnow hot deal, have not looked to see if there are any deals online but maybe worth a shot.

Somehow I got a tee time on April 18th, Saturday 10:30am.

It must be the rain scared someone to cancel.

I don't care.

I'll drive two hour round trip to play in rain.

It was 36F feels like 30F.

It was snowing, raining and wet.

It was amazing!!!

Played most holes by myself since there weren’t many out.

When I finally ran into traffic, nice local foursome took me in for last 7 holes.

I don’t think I’ll get lucky enough to get weekend tee times often.

But when the weather is bad and no one wants to be out there, I’ll be there to play!

It's been months since I drove last time.

3 putt, double bogey to start.

Don 't care.

It was just beautiful to be out.

Nothing was going to ruin my day.

This was genius!

Wish I could’ve walked, but don’t have strength after four week quarantine.

Cart path only gave me some much needed exercise.

Seal Skin water resistant hat and Galvin Green Gore Tex rain jacket and pants kept me warm and dry.

I wish there was a better option for women’s rain gloves though.

All purchased for St. Andrews trip which is up in the air now... :(

Now that some New York courses are reopened, I don't know when I'm going to make it back there.

But Richter Park will always hold a special memory in this god awful time.
