Looking for the right path..

Well this being my first post here on the forum let me begin by saying hello. I'm currently twenty years old and attend one of the PGM programs in the southeast region. I played four years of high school golf and shot between 80-85. After highschool was over I knew that golf had been a passion that I wanted to presue a career in BUT I had to make a change with my life. Step one (At the age of eighteen I weight 240 pounds 5'10 and was completly out of shape.) Over the next six months I worked out daily and manage to get my weight down to 170 pounds. Also during that time I moved to the southeast and began taking credits at the local community college to one day tranfor into a college with the PGM program. I spend the time at community college got my grades in order and also worked part time at a private country club on the bag drop.(Also that summer worked at a resort course up the road as a caddy.) During that year period I worked on my game everday (at least hitting balls for an hour or two) and got my score around 74-78 playing from 7,000 yards. This past fall came around and I moved off to college and today are enrolled in the PGM program. I manage still to hit balls for an hour or so when I don't have class or homework and play about 2times a week.

That's my story in a nutt shell with golf and the last couple years of my life. I run at least 3 miles seven days a week and then 4 days a week lift weights. I guess here are some of my issues 1.) When I dropped from 240-170 I lost a lot of distance...ex.) I use to hit my drive around 290 and know its around 265. 2.) I enjoying working out but I wanted to get stronger and gain some of that distance back... 3.)My goal after graduating college is to find a job in the golf industry that I enjoy (and I don't care about how much money I make) I want this job to be two fold (help the bussiness I work for become successful and also to continue growing my golf as a golf professional. I would love to get some feed back about work out plans and the best way to land a good job in the golf industry today. Thank you....
