Fujikura Vista Pro 70 vs. Tour Platform 27.3

Any experience? Anyone?

I've played the Vista Pro 70 and the Tour Platform 26.3 and there is no comparison.

I don't know the true specs but I've never played a shaft that seemed to have as much torque or twisting as the Vista Pro 70. I stayed with it far too long (a couple of months). It plays soft (and I rarely say that about a shaft) and even with my less then fast swingspeed felt it to be unstable.

The Tour Platform 26.3 was a really excellent shaft in just about every respect. I had an S tipped 3/4 inch to play to a specific fequency. I'd still play it if I didn't sell the whole club because the head didn't fit me to optimal numbers. It was stable and smooth feeling. I would suspect the 27 would be similar but can't directly comment.

That said, if you want a really cheap experiment I have a driver length (untipped) Graffaloy Prolaunch 75 stiff in near perfect condition with a prepped tip that you can have at your door for $30. Its a great shaft probably very similar to the TP 27.3 that works well in a fairway wood.

Wow. My expereinces with the Vista Pro have been very different. I have more of a hitting swing with a short back swing, but I still manage to generate plenty of clubhead speed. I feel the tip of the VP is very active yet stable with a mid trajectory. You're the first person I've ever heard opine that it feels unstable. I'm not all that interested in the Prolaunch as I'm looking for more of a mid trajectory and anyway, I would disagree the the Prolaunch feels smooth. But thanks.

Can anyone else compare the Vista Pro to the Tour Platform? Specifically in terms of launch and ball flight?

the vista pro launches a little lower than the tour platform because of the stiffer tip section...the tour platform overall is a smoother shaft than the vista...
