PGM schools. Which is the best?

I'm a junior in high school and I'm looking into entering the PGM program that is offered at many schools. I live in Texas so my top choices as of now are Sam Houston State, Mississippi State, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Coastal Carolina, and Methodist University. I am pretty sure I want to be in the PGM program, I am just having a hard time finding out which school is the best. I have good enough grades to get accepted into all of the schools, so that is not a problem. Does anyone have any experience in any of these schools? Former or current students would be great but I'll take any advice! Thanks.

I actually went to methodist and it was the best four years of my life, its a small school environment but they really take care of you and in my opinion it is the best program out there, i have looked at all of them and it was the best fit for me....if you have any questions please don't hesitate to pm me

ok cool thanks! I know at alot of different schools with the program don't let you play on the golf team and be in tbe program at the same time but from what i've seen, you can at methodist. is this true? I know they have a great team. I'm about a 2 handicap now. would that be good enough to maybe make the team as well?

you can play on the team but its really competitive. Basically make a visit to the school and play the school's course, if you think you can get around in 75 or less you are golden to make the team man. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE THE TRIP TO FAYETTEVILLE!!!! I have heard the program is getting tougher and tougher to get into and quite often if they are on the fence with someone about letting them in, if they made a visit....you are looking 1000000 times better.

You can't beat the SEC feel that you will get from Mississippi State.

I go to Methodist University right now. I'm a freshman here and it is by far the best PGM school I have heard time and time again from people in the golf business who say that they hold Methodist to a different standard. The other schools are great, but I don't think you can do any better. If you want to know anything email me at [email protected].
