I had the x-tours before they were stolen and have been testing the x-20 tour. They seem to have the same offset which is very minimal. Just enough to give a little more confidence than a true blade. Before thsoe i played DCI 962 and although i dont know the exact offset they are very similar. They are sweet clubs, I am going ot get a set I am just trying to figure out which shaft i like more The flighted or standard project x.

I went from Titleist 670s to Cally x-18pros. I did this as an experiment, since at the time, I was in a little rut hitting greens. So I put a set of x18 pros in my bag that were the right lie and length. What I found out is that i was immediately a club longer. Probably the stronger lofts / shaft combination. Once I got accustomed to the aesthetics of the switch, my GIRs went up. But I don't think it was as much of a club change as a course management approach. I used to try and work just about every shot into the green, now I just go to the middle, or straight at the pin, if placement allows. I can put a draw or fade on the irons if needed, but the basic shape is very true and straight there really isn't a need to. Now for the bad swings I have noticed that they fly straighter and longer, much longer. If I pull it or push it, it stays straight on that line. Bounce is another thing to take note of. Its the one thing I would go back to blades for, IMHO they are much easier to chip.

All that being said you were asking about x-20pros, well the 18 and 20s aren't that much different and the price and the fact that I got the specs I was looking for, is the only reason I didn't go with x-tours or x20-pros. I you haven't purchased yet, try x-tours, x20pros, and even an older set of x-18 pros or x-16pros. You will be surprised. Without a doubt the new x-tours are the most different than the others.

I own both the 775s and X-20 Tours. The 775s have significantly more offset and it is quite noticable. As far as the cavity back goes, I find the X-20 Tour heads more forgiving on off center hits.

Any feedback on these irons? I hate that Callaway is one of the only companies that does not list their iron offset specs on their web site. I am currently playing the 775.CB's and want to compare the X-20 Tour to these. I am a 15 handicap player.

Here is a Callaway link in which you can compare offset's in all of the current irons. As stated in the previous reply, the tour versions of irons from Callaway will have very minamal offset.

With that being said, given your mid HC index I would consider something that would be a little more forgiving like standard X-20's. I play to a 4.5 HC and play the regular X-20's because I like all of the help I can get and I think I play as well as I do because these irons are very consistant. I have hit both the X-Tours and X-20 Tours and I hit them well, but I find the regular irons to be a little easier to hit straight consistantly, plus there is nothing bad about a little extra offset.

Just my two cents. Hope you choose whatever works best for your swing.

I'm in the same situation, have both 775CB's and X20 tours. The X20' have a lot less offset from 8 iron down. I do find the X20' s longer and more powerful due probably to the PX shafts versus the NS Pro in the titleist. I like both models but I must say the X20's are in the bag now. They are more forgiving but a sweet spot hit on the 775's is very pleasant. I hit both models about the same height but the PX sahfts are more penetrating.

I was a ping player for years, it was time for new clubs so I went out and hit everything, came up with the x-20 tours with project x 6.0 flighted shafts. I have never looked back, hands down for me the best feeling most consistent club I have ever played, these are in the bag for a long time. mine are +1/2 in and 2* upright with midsize grips, it is so fun to hit these i have started wanting to get out an really play a lot more. go try them out against what you think would be your favorites, I did and was happly surprised!
