[Water Hazard]

Young Family (wife and I are both 30) with 2 kids looking for a golf membership in Coral Springs/Parkland/Boca.

 

Grew up in a private club atmosphere and would like something similar for my kids. Looking to play with a group on the weekends and a couple nights after work a month.

 

I've called around to get quotes, but everything seems to be out of my price range. Would prefer to stay around the $300/month range. Willing to have a 20 minute drive if worth it.

 

Parkland Golf and Country: Limited invitations to non residents, $900/month plus F&B

Boca Woods: Buy in plus $14,000 annually.

 

Any recommendations for courses I could reach out to or anything remotely close to my price range?

I live in Coral Springs and had a membership at Carolina Club for three years. We decided not to renew last November, so I've been looking around for a replacement. For $300/month you're not even going to find anything at a semi-private course. Carolina Club was around $6k/year, which included green fees and cart for my family. CC of Coral Springs, Heron Bay (if they reopen), and Eagle Trace are more.

 

Boca Pointe is in the same ballpark as Boca Woods. Boca Lago is about the same distance, but I'm not sure what their membership goes for. They are on Canam and have reasonable rates, so maybe they're a little lower. They've also been closed this summer with a reopen date in the fall I believe.

 

I'm actually surprised about Parkland Golf and CC. I didn't realize they had non resident memberships. Does $900 include cart and range too?

Boca Lago is a good suggestion, thanks. It looks like they have executive memberships as well. I'll give them a call.

 

Regarding Parkland, it was invitation only at that rate. I didn't get more information as it was out of my price range.
