Just wanted to say hey to all y'all and say I'm happy to be here...pushing 51 and just recently got back into the game.  I am a pretty high handicap, but already working to improve it. I have some dated equipment, but it is still good...at least I think it is.

Always looking and open to advice from others to improve my game!

Here is a look at my current bag -

Driver - Bridgestone Tour B XD-5 Driver 10.5, Project X HZRDUS Red 62 Shaft, Reg. Flex

Hybrids - Bridgestone J40 Hybrid 4H, Project X 5.5 Shaft, Reg. Flex; Cleveland Mashie 2H, Miyazaki C. Kua 59 Shaft Stiff Flex

Irons - Callaway Big Bertha X-12 Irons 5-PW, Callaway RCH 99 Shafts, Reg. Flex

Wedges - Wilson Harmonized 52 & 60

Putter - Cleveland Huntington Beach Soft 4

Golf Ball - Bridgestone e6

Welcome back to the game. I did the same thing this year at 41. Just be careful,  the new equipment bug is a sneaky bastxxx.... hehe

I'm hitting some old Adams Irons myself until I can justify new ones with my game. Only my driver is new (kind of a function of my old one flying off the shaft years ago into a ravine.... lol)

Thanks! Yeah, I have my eye on some new irons, but honestly my X-12 are still in phenomenal shape and condition....lacking some new tech, but they are still great irons. Clearly my driver, wedges, and putter are all newer, but my driver is pushing 6 years old (2018).

I have thought about heading up to Charlotte (I'm 2 hrs away) and getting fitted at PXG there and testing out some their clubs because, yeah...the new equipment bug has taken a huge bite out of me lately! hahahaha

Honestly, if I still had my old Adams Speedline driver, I bet I'd be striking it just as well now as I am the PXG. What I've noticed about the PXG is it offers me much more consistent yardages (all things equal). That could just be due to the time I have devoted to golf this year, but I'm getting to the point where I have more good drives on the course than bad.... LOL

As far as irons go, I strike mine as well if not better than most at this point (arguably I should given all the practice). They sail high and far (at least at the range). Acclimating to trusting that same swing on the course with real targets is a bit more intimidating..... LOL When the time comes, I think I'm getting a mixed Cavity Back and Blade set..... Just last week I was thinking of mid hollow-backs but I think I may be changing my mind.

I'm sort of a golfer that enjoys challenging myself to exceed performance expectations..... whether I actually do or not... LOL

New equipment tech is great, but the results are still the responsibility of the golfer. 😄
