Putter grips- more beveled ones?

Hey Clubmakers!

Are there putter grips that have a more pronounced bevel? By bevel I mean the butt end of the grip has a bigger ramp/tapers out more?

Is it legal for me to tape the end of my grip to widen the bevel? I think Stricker or Verplank wraps their putter grip with white athletic tape to build it up.

As long as I don't take it off or add more during a round, it should be legal?

I've noticed that my putting is a lot "free-er" and smooth when my left hand has just the thumb, index, and middle finger on the grip (I'm a righty) and I run my thumb and thumb pad area of my hand down the top of the grip. Just wondering if I could pop on a new grip that started with more taper . . . so I wouldn't have to build it up so much.
