Some people are saying that Tiger put the 970 back in the bag. Can anyone confirm this?

no why would he do a stupid thing like that it's still the t60 although he has been trying out the SQ fairway woods and he likes them (cool)

He has been useing it gets a lower and more consistent trajectory, i see there is one for sale on e-bay

he's actually said he would a higher trajectory so that he can land the ball softer on long par 5s. i don't think you are going to see the 970 back in the bag again. most likely i would expect to see him start using the sq, or maybe vary between the two depending on course and wind.

Dont think he has a problem hitting it high, did not have a problem

with height when he was winning all his magors with

his 970 titleist 3 wood was quoted as saying was the best

club in his bag, and he was not getting payed to use it

the 970 will never show up in his back again..

the head was made for a steel shaft... and he quit hitting it as well when he went to graphite in the driver.

the t60 is in the bag this week....

i didn't think so either, but that was a quote from him in golf magazine, he wants to hit the 3-wood higher to land softer on the greens. i just switched to the t-60 and its an awesome fairway wood. not even having problems with the deep face on the hard thin north texas fairways.

well, theres always the gray colored 970 that was made for graphites. but the reason i ask is because theres a guy on ebay selling a 970 stating that tiger put it back in the bag for the buick.

we all know there are people on ebay [and probably this board] dumb enough to buy a 970 because tiger might have put it back in his bag. why do u think the 970 was 300 dollars +, and then as soon as it gets dropped people cant give it away for 175

I guess im pretty dumb then, but thats quite a bold and ignorant statement on your part...im sure you've never hit a 970 before. if you have some time, go to the for sale section and read Easyyy's post about posting ettiquette...

that is the seller marketing it... never trust ebay sellers promoting a club... heck even before the tourney this week.. people were selling the sq as " tigers driver"
