I think your experience there is in large part based on how good your instructor is. Of course the same can be said for any golf instruction program. I will give you this they have superb video equipment. In fact I probably learned more about my swing from watching video than I did from my instructor.

 

The whole Golftec princiiple is based on taking your swing and modeling it based on averages of various swing positions PGA Tour players. They have tour averages for things like hip bend, shoulder tilt, shoulder turn, hip turn etc. Based on my experience this obsession with angles and positions does not equate to learning how to swing a golf club. Of course I'm also 6'4" and about 240 lbs. so there really isn't a "tour model" for a guy like me. Also you are inside on a mat hitting into a net. This is a completely different experience than actually being outside and hitting golf balls. Personally, I get more feedback in terms of what I'm doing by actually hitting balls outdoors and watching the flight of the ball.

 

There are others that have gotten a great deal out of the experience and it help their game.

yea thanks that helps, it just seemed like really cool idea..i have about a 3 handicap and was at leadbetter last year, and tried to walk on at smu in dallas texas, but choked in tryouts, was kinda depressed about golf this fall.. so i saw one of hank haneys guys but that confused the hell out of me, and then i saw some rinky dink club pro and that kind of screwed me over too, im really confused, and want to get straightened out for the summer and next year, i plan to transfer to nyu,colgate, bc, bu, hamilton, holy cross, skidmore, or georgeotwn... i have a tryout wherever i get in... what should i do?!
